“It was such an honour to host a beautifully empowering & inspirational event with so many incredible women in attendance! When I dreamed up the idea of forming a collective of strong female focused companies & partners, I had no idea the magnitude of strength each of our organisations coming together would create. I’m kinda still struggling to find the words… 😓 To authentically share my Cannes experience- with honesty & integrity… is proving incredibly challenging…. I honestly had some of my biggest highs, meeting & supporting so many incredible women through my amazing #shesquad & hosting our first ever womens Villa with @luminofilmsofficial ❤️ partnering with @yesshecannes It was tough, but oh so worth it for what we achieved together Jane 🙏🏼✨ The amazing workshop with @designessentialsuk who not only have an amazing company, but who spoke love & light & strength into my life 🥹 forever grateful for you incredible humans. 🙌🏼 But Cannes also brought some of my most painful times. 💔 Months of blood, sweat & tears poured into a project I cared so deeply about. 🙏🏼 Some collaborators were so amazing to work with. But I was also working with some people who weren’t fully aligned…. 😓 Being ignored, devalued, overworked, under appreciated & downright disrespected. I’m still struggling with what to say, with how to say it & even with processing my pain over it. I’m shocked, pained & genuinely heartbroken. Being minimised, even erased from a narrative, something I conceptualised, created & poured so much love & soul into. It’s hard to even say it now… when so many don’t know even a tiny amount of what has occurred beneath the surface. The visuals have been managed. The truth eroded. I’m fearful of a toxic backlash. Visually most people will believe everything was amazing & have no idea of what exists underneath the surface. But I am nothing, if not honest. I’m not ready to share this pain fully- yet. Someday I will. But right now I leave one thought- look at someone’s actions, listen to their words, observe the true hearts & minds beneath a carefully curated narrative.
