We usually think of salads as “healthy” but most
of the time we end up adding huge amounts of fats, carbs, and of course calories to the mix.

By adding toppings that are sugary, deep fried crunchy items, and fatty dressing that are high calories or include sugars and carbs, we’re undoing everything we try to do with a salad to begin with.
–
I prefer to buy a base mix, add my own protein source, and then pair with fats OR carbs but not large quantities of both.
