Every person, no matter who they love or how they identify, deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported.
We stand with our LGBTQ community and are committed to creating an inclusive Michigan where everyone can live authentically and proudly. Happy Pride! 🌈
Mental health is just as important as physical health, and today, I signed legislation requiring insurance to cover them both the same way. To those facing mental health challenges: I see you, help is there if you need it, and we’re making it easier for you to access care 🫂

Today, I signed new legislation making it easier and more affordable to access mental health care. With partners in the legislature like @sarahanthony517 we’re delivering resources and support that make a real difference in Michiganders’ lives.
It’s time to puck around and find out 🏒
I’m proud to welcome hockey fans to Saginaw as we host the Canadian Hockey League’s Memorial Cup Tournament for the first time – let’s show everyone what Michigan is all about. I hope you all have a fun and safe tournament!
I’m honored to be here at the March for Missing and Murdered Indigenous People. We come together today to support survivors, honor those no longer with us, and keep searching for those we’ve lost. Together, let’s send a message: Indigenous people deserve safety and freedom.
Today’s commonsense, bipartisan bills will improve health care licensing and protect critical funding for our courts. Let’s continue delivering on the issues that make a real difference in people’s lives. Let’s keep working together to build a brighter, safer future for Michigan.
Today, I’m talking about my bread and butter – jobs and infrastructure. All our progress is made possible by the hardworking Michiganders who roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
Today, we honor our Gold Star Families who carry the immense weight of sacrifice for our nation. Your strength and resilience remind us of the true value of freedom. Here in Michigan, we stand with you as we honor the legacies of your loved ones.

However, these issues are not unsolvable. If we act, we can – and will – save lives.
Today, I got to join some of the young builders and shakers who will help us create the future. Watching these students in action as they roll up their sleeves to get the work done is nothing short of inspiring. It’s young people like these who will shape Michigan’s future.

Who better to talk about infrastructure and skilled trades with than the hardworking men and women of the Teamsters! I’m here to tell you all that I got your back. But having someone’s back is about more than just talk. It’s about action.
As governor, I’ve always stood up for workers. From restoring workers’ rights to promoting programs like Michigan Reconnect to making historic investments in our infrastructure, we’re committed to making sure anyone can make it in Michigan.
We’ve come a long way in fixing our roads and strengthening our infrastructure, but we’re not done yet.
Today, I’m signing an executive directive to train 5,000 new workers, to build the workforce we need. Let’s make a real difference in people’s lives and move Michigan forward.
Last time I visited @demanddetroit was in 2022 for my State of the State address. Manufacturing powered our economy in the 20th century, and we’re not slowing down now. I’m proud of how far we’ve come and where we’re headed as we work to build a sustainable, clean energy future.
