Repost from @nicoswdn and @last_whaling_station : “Please take the 40 seconds to learn about the huge tragedy caused by Iceland’s government. Iceland just started whaling again. It is believed that over 200 fin whales will be killed this season to be shipped to Japan. Fin Whales are the second largest animals on earth and like any other whales, they are taking a big role in the ocean and the environment! Please raise your voice against this horrible decision and help to spread knowledge. Share this video with your friends, family and followers. Together we can make a difference 🙏💙 Footage: @nicoswan Voiceover: @nicoswan Graphics: @styngvi Music: @artlist.io Check out @last_whaling_station 🐋 “ Petitions to sign in bio @herahilmar @hvalavinir 🐋 You can write to our ministers: @svandissvavarsdottir (food, agriculture and fisheries), @liljaalfreds (culture), @gudlaugurthor (environment). #stopwhaling #safethewhales #iceland #togetherstronger #environment #oceanlife #safeourplanet #lumixsseries #lumixdeutschland #lumix #ocean #oceanicpreservationsociety #oceanpreservation #oceansnation
From the NYC premiere of @houseofdragonshbo 🐉 Thank you @hbo for having me and @acnestudios @edouardschneider for dressing me in electric blue 🌀💙 Ps. For anyone wondering what is the new red/black carpet look, in my humble opinion, go for slow wink whilst your full body shot is taken. Just to keep it reel. And then top it up with a pair of computerised shades 😎

We had the honour to meet skating legend, marine biologist, artist and environmental activist @peggy_oki , when she came to Iceland for #Hvalagala – where we celebrated the 150 whales that still live because of the summer ban on whaling that our minister @svandissvavarsdottir put into place 🐋✨ Sadly @svandissvavarsdottir has now withdrawn the ban and allowed the whalers to hunt again. The animal welfare laws that she based her decision on are still in place the methods of whaling are still the same. This is to all of us a huge disappointment in our government and wont be forgotten ✊ The hunt has started and today 3 fin whales have been killed 💔🐋🐋🐋 All breaking animal welfare laws and weather/light conditions. Peggy brought with her curtains of 161 origami whales, representing how many Hvalur hf. killed in 2022. 161 fin whales, second biggest animal on Earth 💔 The origami whales had messages from people all around the world; New Zealand, Italy, USA, Hawaii included, UK, and more, where people of all ages and nationalities ask the people of the Icelandic government to please stop killing these beautiful beings 🐋🐋🐋 She brought them to offices of @svandissvavarsdottir (away), @gudlaugurthor (away) , @katrinjakobsd (away) and Parliament (met @halldoramogensen MP from the Pirate party). It is in many people’s interest to tire us out and hope that people give up and forget. But we won’t. Every voice matters ✊ Please share info and look up why whales are so important for our ecosystem and our societies, and in the fight against the climate crisis we are already starting to witness 🙏 We @hvalavinir and @last_whaling_station documented Peggy’s journey here in Iceland, where she also met up with fellow skaters and was interviewed by @be_vax in the record store @smekkleysa_sm . I took these photos of her and the first one goes down as one of my favs 😎 Please sign petitions to end whaling in Iceland. @berglindfestival #stoppumhvalveidar #stopicelandwhaling #stopwhaling #whale #whales #finwhales #whalewatching #whalewatchingiceland #hvalavinir
Friday, Austurvöllur, twelve to one. Climate strike. Whales for the future. Just as fossil fuels irreversibly damage the climate, whaling irreversibly damages ocean ecosystems Let’s create a world without fossil fuels. And protect our whales. See you on Friday! #stopwhaling #climatechange #climatestrike #stopwhaling #finwhale #whale
