Find out how Dan O’Neill and I took the sounds of tigers, egrets and owls to make the soundtrack for Climate of Change series – a podcast from @Audible_UK. Take a look behind the scenes with the link in bio
Been having fun for the last few months making music with wildlife sounds, courtesy of @danowild. Now you can hear it for yourself in the new @audible_uk podcast Climate Of Change, with hosts Cate Blanchett and Danny Kennedy. Full interview available with link in bio
👋 My 2nd remix for @itskarinann will be out in a while but this is the video for the original song, and when we first met. Prancing about in 16th century garbs, around a maypole and later I was found headbang miming with a century old concertina. Can’t wait to share the remix as I really love it! Screenshot the QR code at the end of this clip to see me in my full faded green velvet joyous glory and watch the full video. Karin Ann’s new single “I Don’t Believe In God” is out now! @itskarinann @tusk_creative @j.u.x.t.a.p.o.s.e
Happy 20th anniversary to Frou Frou’s Details. 💞 Off Cuts is now available worldwide www.froufrou.love
For the past 3 months i’ve been in stealth mode making bass lines out of tiger growls, conjuring duets with geckos and producing glitch pop ditties with orca clicks. All 24 tracks have been written and produced for a most excellent @audible_uk original podcast series called Climate Of Change and it’s out today. Hosted by THE Cate Blanchett (yes, I know, faint) and Danny Kennedy (slightly less faint inducing perhaps but also also brilliant) who explore despair, optimism and hope in the face of climate change. I connected with @danowild via twitter years ago, hoping one day we’d collaborate and here we are finally working (and playing) together. I’m convinced he’s going to be HUGE, teaching us all about the wonders of our natural world. It’s been SUCH a fun project to work on. @danowild would send over his curated wildlife sounds ahead of the next piece due for the podcast with a very inspirational accompanying text about that particular batch of recordings and off I’d go. LOVED IT! We met in person for the first time for his 30th birthday last year (someone else’s hat). Also a pic of us taken during the making of the music video shot @thehideaway.studio a month or so ago plus obligatory selfie! The series features contributions from His Royal Highness Prince William, Mary Robinson, Adam McKay, Katy Milkman, Rutger Bregman, Jeraiza Molina, Agamemnon Otero, Becky Paisley and more… So happy to share it finally, hope you enjoy! : https://adbl.co/3u1wjDX (link in bio)

If you ever wondered, here’s a gecko singing in one of my new pieces of music! Thanks to wildlife sounds produced and curated by @danowild. I chat with hosts Cate Blanchett and Danny Kennedy on this and more for Climate Of change – a new podcast from @audible_uk
As part of the new @audible_uk podcast Climate Of Change, I caught up with hosts Cate Blanchett and Danny Kennedy and we discussed visions of the future, including how emerging technologies may, one day, allow musicians to divert proceeds from their music to important projects with ease and flexibility.
Ever wondered how the sound of a Cuckoo bird can be made in to music? I had the pleasure of creating the soundtrack for series 1 and 2 of @audible_uk podcast, Climate of Change, with Cate Blanchett and Danny Kennedy, alongside the very talented Dan O’Neill @danowild. Watch behind the scenes with the link in bio.
Spent the evening at Brainstorms https://frameless.com/brainstorms/ – a few snaps and moments 🙂 x
The Jellyfish is a plug-in that I have used for over a decade in various forms. It’s in my can’t live without music toy box! So happy that it’s out there in the world now for others to discover its delights. Amazing and beautiful work from @mostlynoise and very excited to be releasing through @mi.mu.gloves. There are some lovely vocal and sound samples in the audio library from some of us on the MiMU team for you to play around with too.
For one of these six pieces here I talk about taking inspiration from an encounter with a humpback whale (during the making of my album Ellipse) for the brand new @audible_uk podcast, Reflections on Change. Watch behind the scenes as the incredibly talented Dan O’Neill @danowild and I make the bespoke soundtrack 🔗 in bio

So far I’ve only met @itskarinann in person once, and we were both wearing some 16th century garbs, dancing around a maypole. I was later found throwing some shapes while headbang miming playing a concertina…as you do. I assume this is just another normal day for Karin Ann? Who knows what will happen next time we meet! Meanwhile.. I’ve been having fun working on 𝖋𝖆𝖑𝖘𝖊 𝖌𝖔𝖑𝖉. Feels good to get something out there. It’s been a while. I get so easily enticed with various tech projects. One of which is our ai voice model (all the rage) ai.mogen and so turns out this will be her first public hearing! Thanks to Karin Ann and the extended team for inviting me in. Coming to @framelessldn this June – Brainstorms: A Great Gig in the Sky. An intriguing new experience featuring the music of @pinkfloyd and myself. Keeping on the theme of sky and clouds, they have prepared a visual accompaniment using some data from myself and Scout, with a twist – for my track Cumulus. I’ve enjoying being a part of this collaboration between @gala_wright and @pollenmusicgroup, where music, art, technology and science have collided in a way I find very interesting! Opening on 7th June, this over 18s evening, will take over the Frameless galleries on select Friday & Saturday nights in June. Limited tickets available via link in bio.
As we begin the countdown for Machina Bristronica 2024 we’re bringing forth the final offerings from the 2023 archive, and this one is an absolute diamond from our Discussions Stage, where you can find curated panel talks on everything from labels to production, synth design, electronic music history and beyond. ‘More Than Machines’ brought together recording artists and music tech pioneers Imogen Heap, Kim Bjorn (Bjooks), Kai Campos (Mount Kimbie) and Hazel Mills (Goldfrapp, Florence & the Machine) to dive deep into that special relationship we have with our equipment and how it can encourage us to think creatively and produce our best (or worst) work. Absolute buckets of wisdom to be found inside the 50 minutes, steered by beloved synth wizard Gaz Williams in the hosts chair. A perfect panel? We think so. Keep tuned over the next few weeks for the final Discussions Stage releases! Full panel talk over on our Elevator Sound YouTube Channel – Link in Bio above ☝️
