40 years on this earth.
I have known you for just over 2 of those years.
And I feel like the luckiest person in the world to have you in my life everyday.
So I can only imagine what it feels for your close friends and family.
You are the calmest and most loyal man I have ever met. You are a man of your word and are fiercely protective of those you love.
You are so kind and silently always trying to find ways to support everyone around you.
Silly and fun when you are relaxed and serious and level headed when needed (And I am unable to be) lol
To be loved by you is like floating, and knowing if I fall I will be caught and if I fly high you will be there holding my hand.
Watching you become a father 😭 Wow. The way you raise and love on Sky is clear to everyone who sees you doing it. I watch in awe and I am so excited for him to grow up and learn for himself what an amazing Dad he has and man to show him the way.
You are a light in this sometimes dark life Chanan. I am grateful and proud to be the woman who lays her head down next to yours each night.

🌈🦋💪🏼 You down for some home renovation and design content? @jessiej and I put up 2 shelves for baby Sky’s room. It was total chaos, she had me wheezing the whole time and we couldn’t be prouder of how cute it turned out 🥹💪🏼❤️🪛
I am 36 this month.
I will put music out again.
I will go on tour again.
I will go to the parties and events.
But for now.
This is all I want.
I don’t want to miss it.
I don’t want someone else to do it for me.
I waited a life time for this.
I know some people can do both sooner than I have and I think that’s wonderful if it’s right for them.
And I know one day that will be me.
I’m grateful to still get the work I do. And I am doing the amount of shows that fill me up, pay the bills and keep me sane and balanced. BUT… This little boy right here gives me more purpose than I have ever felt.
So I’m not rushing.
I’m letting go of the pressure I feel from so many people.
I let go of the guilt I feel.
And I’m giving myself full permission to enjoy THIS moment and not spend my time thinking about what’s next for me my career.
For now it’s what’s right for me and my little family.
