Johanna Griggs Instagram – We had such a fun filled few days at the 137th Hawkesbury Show… where the country meets the city, and a wonderful region celebrates its great produce, community, history, artisans and plans for the future. This show has it all and tonight @charlie_albone Dr Harry and I try to showcase as much of it as we can. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and we packed in a lot. Absolute highlights for me were going for a carriage ride with the Wares – one of the legendary horse training families in Australia and getting to see 9 year old Elsie behind the reigns. The 5th generation of this talented family is in good hands! I also got to see Jim Greens incredible metalwork up close, and learn a few cake decorating tips from the incredibly talented Cilia Family – mum Jane and daughters Sienna and Ella…. And then there was Hawkesbury Young Woman of the Year Jill Burgess, who is such a brilliant ambassador on a number of fronts. This post doesn’t even touch the sides of what we got up to.
