Johanna Griggs Instagram – HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!!! I am beyond honoured and incredibly excited to have been announced publicly today as the new Patron of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation. (Everyone in the room at the Balmoral Burn Sponsors Dinner got a sneaky heads up last Friday). I hope to continue the incredible work that legendary outgoing Patron Ray Martin AM has done for the last 34 years. During that time Ray and the Humpty team have raised over 100 Million Dollars, which in turn has bought more than 6500 pieces of Lifesaving Medical Equipment for babies and children in over 500 Hospitals and Medical Centres across Australia. I can’t think of anyone else I’d like to emulate more for the incredible work that Ray has done alongside his Television career. He is all class, and Humpty wouldn’t be where it is today without him. I’ve already hit the ground running with Humpty Chairman Paul Francis and CEO Claire Reaney, having visited Alice Springs Hospital, Royal Darwin Hospital, Menzies Institute for Health Research and Monash Children’s Hospital in Clayton – getting to meet the most wonderful and passionate front line workers and families who have benefited from Humpty Donors Generosity. I have worked with Humpty for almost 30 years and will dedicate a huge amount of time to this role. I will still be continuing with my work with Beyond Blue as a director on the Board, (something I’ve done for the past 10 years) and as Chair of the National Advisory Council for ‘Be You’ – The National Mental Health Initiative in Early Learning Services and Schools’ across the country. This week Humpty Donors will receive the latest copy of the ‘Good Egg Magazine’ and it will be in the Australian Newspaper on June 8th, where you can read Ray’s Decision to step away as the public face of Humpty, and my tribute to him. I’d like to publicly thank Ray, Channel 7 and Beyond Blue for their support of me, in taking on this new role around my current commitments… and my family, who understand this great desire and need in me to do my bit to help others. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve going forward…. I’m seriously chuffed. Our next Humpty event is our Darwin Ball on June 22. I cannot wait ❤️❤️❤️ | Posted on 28/May/2024 02:24:51
