Julia Holter Instagram – new @tashiwada record What Is Not Strange? is out today. I love this crazy beautiful thing he put out into the world. It feels very alive, squirmy, blooming, surprising, lush. It was made at a time of a lot of changes in our lives, and it sounds appropriately mysterious and full of awe. I’ve known Tashi and his work since 2007 and his music has always morphed in interesting ways. To me, this record is his most playful, with bright and mercurial songlike structures and the unique tuning as foundation for the other-worldly feeling.  Recording and playing with all of the musician friends involved has been invigorating and I am very excited for us to play this record live! Congratulations my love Tashi and thank you to @rvngintl and to all the artists who helped bring this record to life.
