One of the most recognizable (and delicious!) of Studio Ghibli animation foods, and since it’s from my favorite movie, I had to paint it… but I also had to make it first! That’s where @kojimochi came in!

I was at a cafe and happened to overhear a conversation between him and his friend. They were talking about anime food, so I took a chance and struck up a conversation. Turns out he is a content creator who makes anime food content, so it sounded like the perfect collab! We spent nearly two days making, filming, and painting Kiki’s cake, a process which he made into a Reel/Tiktok!. Go check out his page for more awesome food content.

Despite having a few worrying moments during the process (Oh no! Will we need to start over from scratch?!) I’m rather proud of our results, and I’m so happy that I finally painted this iconic piece! And of course, the rich chocolate cake really hit the spot. Hopefully I’ll have more Ghibli food content (and maybe even another collab?) to show you guys in the future!

ジブリ映画で登場する食べ物の中で、最も認識しやすいメニューですかね？そして、私が一番好きな映画「魔女の宅急便」のものなので、結構前から描きたかったです！ただ、フィクションの食べ物ではなく、実際に存在する食べ物を描くイラストレーターなので、実際に作ってみないと！っと思ったところ、 @kojimochi の出番でした！

実は普通にカフェでご飯をしていた時、彼と彼の友達の会話が耳に入ってて、英語でアニメの食べ物やSNSのクリエーター関係の会話をしていて、せっかくなので少し声をかけてみたら・・・まさかアニメの食べ物を実際作るコンテンツクリエーターでした！せっかくなので、キキのチョコレートケーキでコラボすることになりました。私の家に来ていただいて、丸々2日間をかけてケーキを作って、動画撮影して、そして絵も描きました。もちろん、彼もIGとTiktokの動画コンテンツも作っていますので、ぜひ見てください！

ハプニングが多くて、何回も「作り直しになるんじゃないか？！」っと心配してたけど、上出来だと思います！そして、何よりも昔から作って描きたかったケーキを作れて大満足！もちろん、味もとても濃厚で美味しかったです。これからも他のジブリの食べ物をイラストにしたいですので、またコラボしたいですね！！お楽しみに！ | Posted on 16/Jun/2024 20:23:00
