Kelsey Bascom Instagram – So honored and excited to share that I’ll be speaking on a panel at @tribeca about my film, Quarter ✨
@brookeshields @rowanhenchyy @adamschefter @heyyallitsjae @beyondtype1 and I will talk about Type 1 diabetes and how storytelling and filmmaking can be used to spark change. I wrote Quarter because I want to normalize and bring awareness to Type 1 diabetes, and I chose to write it as a comedy, because a) I love comedy, and b) it was important to me that the audience relates to the character and is entertained while watching something so significant and meaningful.
My hope is that Quarter will make people laugh, and at the same time, start conversations to change the stigma and help people living with it feel seen and less alone 🩵
