Kritika Avasthi Instagram – Mana, is a small village located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, situated near the Indo-Tibetan border. It’s 3 kms from Badrinath town situated at a height of around 3219 meters on the banks of the River Saraswati. Vyas gufa, is inside a cave which is around 5,000 years old, where the sage “Ved Vyasa “rearranged the Vedas into four parts and narrated “The Mahabharata” for the first time to lord Ganesha.
It is believed that the great Pandavas crossed through “Mana” on their final journey to heaven. There’s a stone bridge called “Bheema Pul” near the Saraswati River, which is said to have been built by Bheema himself to help his wife, Draupadi, cross the river. Mana village is best to visit from May to early November. From November to April, the region remains inaccessible due to heavy snowfall.
