Introducing Rocket!! She’s a gorgeous #australianshepard pup, and we’re so lucky to welcome her into our fam!! 😍🚀💗
Today we went to the American Dream Mall.
This year marks 8 years since my brother, @alexkelston passed. Tomorrow, June 18th, he would have been 39 years old! What would he have to say about the state of our world? Country? Culture? I am sure many of you would dive deep into a debate with him on all such topics, probably over drinks till late into the evening, always ending in hugs and understanding. Since creating Yoga for Alex in 2017, we have raised over $100K! The contribution the @yogaforalex community has made to the @hope_hdrf is incredible. I truly believe we are assisting in the creation of new possibilities for those who struggle with this horrendous illness. Over the past few months I have been struggling with whether I felt called to create a Yoga for Alex class this year. I have carried some guilt and put pressure on myself to make it happen, both things I know Alex would not want for me. With guidance from trusted friends and family, I’ve chosen to take this year off from teaching a Yoga for Alex class. I am instead allowing time for personal reflection, and have been focusing on my family and my personal practice. However, I would like to invite those of you who feel moved to remember and honor Alex on his birthday tomorrow, in a way that feels meaningful and special for you. Perhaps it is a moment to simply pause and breath, or it may be a moment of silence, a champagne toast, a yoga practice, re-reading a saved message from him, going out dancing, a great hug, or by making a donation (link in bio!)! No matter how many years go by, Alex remains a constant force and light in my life. You all help to keep that light alive! Thank you for reading this far, and for being a part of this community. 💙🌈💛 #yogaforalex #inlovingmemory #hopefordepression #fundraising #raiseawareness #yoga #yogalove #yogalife #mentalhealthawareness
