Took these pictures yesterday and couldn’t help but realise how similar they were to amma’s that they got taken back in the day. So once I realised, I wanted to go see Amma’s pictures again to see if they were actually similar. Don’t know if it matched the expectations in my head but going through her gallery, not only did I find that she’d already made a few similar collages (put them here as well 🥹) but found pictures of us being our rawest selves. Pictures of us laughing (snorting while at it), pictures we send her from work, from the trial room asking which clothes to get, us at every milestone in our lives, be it our naming ceremony or our first day of college, being unbothered at home, hair oiled, or oiling each others’ hair. Big and small moments. They were either shaken, or of average clarity or taken in bad angles but seeing them just felt really good. Like life’s good. And this is what we live for. To oil each others’ hair and to laugh uncontrollably.
