Every year since 2013, the Tories have cut Nottingham City Council’s funding by an average of £100 million. Last week it had to issue a section 114 notice after overspending by £23 million on essential services like social care. I asked Michael Gove to do the maths.

From Europe to the US, the far right is on the rise, attacking minorities and stoking hate. In the UK, the Tories and Reform are singing from the same hymn sheet. We must refuse to be divided and instead demand real change: decent living standards and public services for all.
On Tuesday I spoke at a @palestinesolidarityuk rally in front of 10 Downing Street. My message: we must not stand by and watch genocide unfold in real time. Keep protesting. Keep putting pressure on our government. Keep demanding a ceasefire now and an end to the illegal occupation. 🇵🇸

Seven years since Grenfell, we remember the 72 people killed and continue to demand justice. On the Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Committee, I’ve held the government and others to account on building safety failures. We must never allow more lives to be lost through corporate greed.

On Saturday I joined the @nottsstandwithhk assembly marking the 5th anniversary of the Hong Kong protests. China’s National Security Law is a wholesale assault on Hongkongers’ basic freedoms. I stand in solidarity with imprisoned democracy activists and trade unionists. #HK47
It was great meet with Sikh Community and Youth Services at their Schveel stall in the Market Square. We spoke about the importance of youth services and connecting with our cultural heritage, as well as demanding accountability for the historic injustices of 1919 and 1984.
Fantastic reception for @steveyemm in Mansfield this evening. Steve and the team are knocking on every door, listening to residents and the issues they care about, so that if elected he can be their voice in Parliament 🌹
