10 years ago I started in this small venue in Kochi which was not even a proper club(I guess)and I didn’t even have a DJ name… I was so nervous that I did everything possible not to go on stage that night.. That night turned to days.. weeks.. months and years of performing in so many different venues.. for amazing people all around.. some shows didn’t work and some were absolutely crazy… I’ve been depressed over failed shows and high on some great ones… DJing took me to different parts of the world..made me meet great people and even perform alongside some amazing artists… Ministry of Sound was a name I heard many years ago and had no clue about then.. and I was told that it’s this famous venue in London & someone I knew had performed there…immediately I was like “Damn I wish someday I get to play at MOS.. “ Over the years the only venue that stuck in my head where I wanted to play was MOS…I didn’t have the slightest clue it might just happen.. Guess what??? 10 years later it did!!!🥹.. and I thought I was going to die because of my nervousness and excitement just like that very first performance…I know this is a tiny step.. but it makes me happy to share it with you all… Thanks to quite a few people who supported and believed in me along the way.. giving me shows.. coming to my parties…and being by my side.. and let’s keep going and see where music takes us…🫶❤️ #attakkari #nandinisree #ministryofsound #dj #djlife #londonnightlife #londonparty #malayalee #kochi #kochinightlife
Going back to this night.. It was the new year’s Eve in Qatar and I ended up with a pretty bad case of food poisoning… I didn’t have anything to eat the whole day coz of my upset tummy… Even right before getting on the stage I was so weak… But once you’re on that stage in front of an amazing crowd there’s that adrenaline rush which gives you energy to keep going…. It turned out to be a killer party….But I got down from the stage and I had absolutely no energy left in me… Those who’ve seen me at parties know that I can go on dancing till the very end…. I just sat in a corner having no food or drinks….but definitely with a big smile on my face and a dancing happy heart!! And it’s this energy that I miss!! #ladydjenvy #tb

The beautiful changes I’ve gone through in the past few years fills my heart with joy… but it was always mixed with periods of completely losing myself, becoming a mess and picking myself back again with more wisdom & awareness! I’ve been carrying along this book for quite sometime now… it’s been slow .. lonely.. and depressing.. probably just like a normal life… I think that is the beauty of this book as well.. The story of two normal people with normal lives.. Ever wondered what really is normal ?.. maybe we’ve gotten it all wrong.. an actual normal human life is what we term not normal…with the complexities, traumas, abuse, unsaid words, situations that we’ve probably never come across in a movie… This book was relatable.. and slightly painful.. the type of pain that you enjoy… when you’ve lived long enough maybe that’s the only way to live… I have a feeling Marianne and Connell are going to live long with me…! #bookstagram #books #normalpeople #sallyrooney
