A full-scale attack on Rafah would have devastating consequences for the 1.5 million Palestinians sheltering there.
Before the war started over 4 months ago, Rafah had a population of just over 250,000. Now, tents have sprawled, and people are living in dire, overcrowded conditions. Food, water, medicines, and other essentials are scarce.
Rafah is the end of the line. An attack on the last refuge in Gaza will be catastrophic.
