VANDALISM AGAINST PRO-PALESTINE ACTIVIST MATERIAL @ouranu School of Art and Design exhibition on activism‼️ Over the past few weeks, students at SOAD have been putting together an exhibition on student activism. This morning, it was discovered that all posters, banners, and other material related to Pro-Palestine activism were removed or destroyed, whilst other exhibits remained. This horrific display of vandalism is not only an infringement on our right to free speech and protest, but a clear act of racism. We will not allow this to be overlooked. We call on the university to investigate these blatant racist attacks. We call on the university to stand by the right of students to express their solidarity with the people of Palestine through protest and artistic expression. We call on the university to take action to prevent further racist abuse and discrimination. Forever for a free P@lestine🇵🇸✊ [Images depict: ~ Removed Palestine banners ~ Removed Palestine posters from the wall whilst others were kept up ~Posters cut in half to remove the Palestinian flag, but leaving the Aboriginal flag (on the ground) ~ Removal of unmarked Palestinian flags (without slogans)]

From Hind’s Hall to Mahmoud’s Hall….Link to article in first comment 🚨Mahmoud’s legacy will always be a constant reminder of the complicity of our academic institutions…. The Ivy League’s of academia which in their own right have perpetrated a genocide against academic morality! We will never forget how Melbourne University refused to condemn Mahmoud’s killing at the hands of the Israeli Zionist regime….Mahmoud is one of tens of thousands of Palestinians that have been killed by weapons that our university helps to research and develop! Mahmoud is not a number, Hind is not a number, Rafaat is not a number….none of us our numbers…. Read this equally beautiful and painful article by the amazing @randaafattah on the complicity of academia in the oppression and genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza and oppressed peoples around the world… long live Palestine 🇵🇸🇵🇸✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
