For someone that has large bone density & body mass.. itβs always been a love/hate relationship with any kind of weights. However itβs vital to build muscle and burn fat in a shorter amount of time.
β¨ LESSON: Iβve injured myself time and time again thinking I can lift the same weight when Iβve been inconsistent in the gym π
π«£ The truth is, i never really liked lifting anything at all. Ive always been a HIIT girly bc I thought that was the only way Iβd stay lean.
But that is not true! Incorporating a HIIT style routine with weight is the ultimate formula for lean muscle and burning fat. π«¨
π€« But hereβs the secret: there is a thing called MIND TO MUSCLE CONNECTION. It must be used every time you perform an exercise or do a routine. This is when you intentionally tell your mind to use this part of your body/muscle to engage in the exercise. You know the FEEL THE BURN feeling.
π₯You cant do an ab crunch exercise and think about lifting up from your shoulders. You will never see results. You must tell your body, I am going to use my abs to lift me up and BREATHE thru the moment.
π―Iβve always rushed through weight exercises because I just want to get it over with, but my new goal is really to connect my mind to muscle and every time and if your just getting back in the gym, like myself, start LIGHT. Your body needs to be handled with care.
