The band & I are loving everything about the Midwest. We’re breezing through Wisconsin listening to the new @waxa_katie album on our way to play @beatkitchenbar in Chicago tonight. 🦋 These first few headline shows have nearly convinced me to move here! Every person we’ve met at these shows has been incredibly kind, helpful, and present. Spending a couple of hours with y’all makes the long drive days on tour worth it. I’m “Cutting Thru The Country” & making my way to the east coast for the final two dates of my spring tour. I’ve declared the new @mediumbuild album as the soundtrack for this last week of shows. Both because I love Nick & their songs, but also because the lyric “Everyday’s a movie and I’ve already seen” is the BEST, bittersweet description for life on the road. Most hours of the day are spent inside a mini-van or pulled over at a gas station (pretty mundane) but it still feels cinematic to be in a different city every night to meet new people & sing together for an hour. 💗 P.S. I’d love more coffee shop & book store recs for Philadelphia & the Boston/Cambridge area if you’ve got any before I see y’all on Monday night at @milkboyphilly & Tuesday at @clubpassim !
