INSTAGRAM HAS BEEN DELETING MY POSTS, DISABLING COMMENTS AND LIMITING MY POST/STORY ENGAGEMENT WHILE INNOCENT CHILDREN, WOMEN, MEN AND NON-HUMAN ANIMALS ARE BEING SLAUGHTERED AND WE ARE ALL EXPECTED TO JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP AND WATCH IT HAPPEN AND THEN WE HAVE CELEBRITIES WHO CARE FOR LITERALLY NOTHING IN THE WORLD POSTING THEIR DAILY SKINCARE ROUTINES GETTING MILLIONS OF VIEWS AND I AM ABSOLUTELY SICK. LET’S SEE HOW LONG THIS STAYS UP BEFORE BEING DELETED 🖕🏾
Thoughts on #earthday today…I am not a pessimist and I truly have so much hope for the future, especially when I see the every day brave heroes/activists all around us who are on the frontlines making this world a better place. But I’m REALLY finding it impossible these days to navigate existing in a world and society that would choose money, power and personal gain over the blatant suffering, pain and violence towards living beings, both people and non-human animals- all while the very land that sustains us is perishing. The selective activism/empathy is deeply disturbing and something I will never be able to wrap my head around. The worst part being -whether knowingly or unknowingly I am complicit in all of it by simply being alive and participating in a system that uses my tax dollars to decimate this planet and destroy life. To me, all of the beauty in this miracle that we call our home is increasingly becoming overshadowed by the ignorance, greed and total disconnect between humanity and the natural world. It breaks my heart every single day to witness the utter disregard for the lives of those we somehow feel are less important or valuable than ours.
When will we learn that violence is never the answer and only in the interest of our governments? When will we collectively become awakened to the horror behind our broken food system that is slowly killing all of us while corporations profit from it? What will it take for humanity to see the light and divinity that exists in every sentient being?
Dear Mother Earth, I am so sorry for what we do to you. How we treat all of your magnificent inhabitants that you nurture, support and love unconditionally. I will personally try my best to do better every day in every conscious choice I make, to use my voice and my art responsibly. I have so much to learn, and I know I must prioritize my connection to you over all else. Thank you for teaching us what truly matters- even if you have to send us giant wake up calls again and again to get the message across. Please hang in there while we learn to embrace our interconnectedness. I believe we will get there sooner than later, because we have no other option. 💚

🖤 Repost from @nikita_gill • The constant dehumanisation of a demographic of people, and the cruel notion they deserve to collectively suffer is so harrowing and so wrong. So here is a reminder that all we have is us and it is up to us to save each other, to remember that our shared humanity comes with the responsibility to help one another.🍉
Between my tight work schedule, to-do lists and general procrastination habits, making my new home really feel like a home seemed like an impossible feat until @thehavenly came to the rescue. They made the whole process feel so easy and FUN. It was truly magical to see my vision come to life with the help of my wonderful designer, who understood me instantly and created a design that was totally unique to my personality. I told her I wanted my place to feel zen and peaceful, with neutral colors, but also with pops of color and nods to my South Asian culture, without feeling all over the place or over-the-top. I myself didn’t really even know what that would look like or where to begin. What resulted was what you see in these photos, what I would describe as organic modern luxe meets eclectic boho. If you’re like me and don’t know where to even start with designing your space, I highly recommend working with Havenly who will create something so special and unique to you for an unbelievably affordable price and stress-free process. 💗 Dress: @rpnewyork (@styledbyambika ) Makeup: @thegabriellealvarez Hair: @josephchase
