Who is Mary Magdalene? 🌹 We have set out to share her story and her teachings through the medium of film. Along the way we are being shaped, refined, humbled and activated. There is an intricate root system, a lineage of teachings that weave Her and a line of priestesses through the fabric of history, her story. “I go to prepare a place for you.” This scripture from the Bible was later spoken by one of my heroes, Harriet Tubman. It is the idea of going forth, crossing the threshold of sacrifice and devotion to make way for others. In these times of transformation, those who have passed through the darkness and BECOME the light are rising to illuminate a path for others. This is the work of the Watchtower, to act as an emissary, a lighthouse and an exalted servant weaving a new cultural matrix. To bring the feminine back into a role of spiritual leadership is to craft culture in a way that will render a reality quite unrecognizable from the one we currently exist within. Just as the caterpillar becomes the butterfly, I believe we are within an imaginal stage of our collective existence that is leading us towards a brilliant, benevolent future. Praise to those that have faced their own shadows, passed through the gates of initiation and remain steadfast, offering their hand to help others rise into a paradigm of peace. It was truly an honor to be a part of the Texas Eclipse Festival in such an intentional way. I was part of the Unify ceremony which took place during the total solar eclipse. Before the ceremony began, the sky was cloudy, covering the sun. We opened the ceremony in prayer and the clouds parted, revealing the sun. We led everyone through a beautiful meditation, connecting with the elements, the moon, and the sun. There were various vocalists and instrumentalists accompanying the meditation with live music. I was among the temple dancers who were embodying this prayer with intentional movements and gestures that we created. During the meditation, we connected to the collective heart, infused the prayers of the collective heart into water, then poured the water over hot stones, creating steam that represented the collective prayers evaporating into the heavens. During totality, we sat in silence, many weeping from the beauty. After totality, we dance together in celebration and truly embodied a heaven on Earth frequency. “What’s an edge and a dream wrapped up in one?” A question I asked myself fall of 2023, as I creatively visioned into The UNTAMED Experience. The answer… came in quick and clear: “A song.” Confirmation bumps covered every inch of my skin and my heart filled with love, tears welling up in my eyes… I knew, right away… who I would *love* to co-weave on this with, as monthsss prior (well before the vision dropped in for The UNTAMED Experience), she and I were DMing, planting seeds for one day co-weaving something. I shared the dream with her and what a joy it would be to share it for the first time ever at The UNTAMED Experience and she was a full “OH YES!”. Co-writing this song with the Priestess herself, @rubychase was such a gift and truly, the *easiest* thing! The words flew out of us as we took the UNTAMED Manifesto and lots of our ‘sayings’, morphing them into a masterpiece! Walking on stage, with my rhinestone covered microphone and Unicorn braids… singing *our* song for the first time ever to the women, who were the muses for it (!!), was a dream come true. Who knew, when I opened the virtual container, UNTAMED, in February 2022… that it would one day have it’s own SONG!!?? And also… it’s kind of like at this point “of course, of course *WE* have our own song now!” lol Anything, Is possible… when you choose to walk the path of becoming an UNTAMED woman. I freaking love you Ruby and such an honor to walk this path with you. Stay tuned UNTAMED Goddesses… this song will eventually be on SPOTIFY! Because we… U N T A M E DDDDDDDD!
