Sandra Lee Instagram – The Paris Royal Opera’s (Opera National de Paris) Ballet closing night of the beautiful “Giselle” was Extraordinary. They call it a Masterpiece—A Ballet of Grace, Emotion and Technique—All would be true! At breakfast I was reading the Financial Times and they featured an article about the last performance of the Prima Ballerina’s who was Retiring at 42 years old. I very much wanted to see it, to watch her take her final bow…….AT 42 years old, That is Miraculous. I couldn’t even imagine how she must feel!
I simply had to go. Soooooo our wonderful Hotel manager was able to secure tickets and the most exceptional night was had.
The royal opera house is indescribable, as beautiful as the pictures are, it doesn’t do it justice. We took our seats in the balcony box and enjoyed a breathtaking performance. A quick nap for Ben at intermission cure jet lag and at the end the audience demanded four Curtain call encores for the Ballerina- a total of a 10 minute standing ovation! Everyone in tears! Spectacular. Wow wow wow!!! AND
Tomorrow the French Open—TENNIS!!! I love Tennis! Alcazar vs. Sinner! I love the Roland Garros Stadium…My wonderful girlfriend, Karen, and her most generous husband gave us their seats. What a treat.
