Sara Bareilles Instagram – I spent the weekend meditating at the @omegainstitute and in reflection. It sometimes feels impossible to know how to hold the relentless ache and agony of our human existence. We spoke of mystery and rage and chaos and fierce focus and clarity and the inevitability of suffering and the great, wide, open sky that holds it all. The luminous @sebeneselassie said “As humans we are the great paradox. We are the same AND we are not the same.“
It made me think about how all suffering lives in disconnection- from ourselves and from each other. We can feel misunderstood, ignored, abandoned, forgotten, used, shamed. We forget how to know and be known.

@_jeffwarren_ shared a teaching from #shinzenyoung about using “the subtle sermon of your pores”.
To me, this means we should use how we move through the world to demonstrate how you wish the world to be. I take that to heart. Deeply.

I believe in peace and the pursuit of it. For all beings. I hope you find the courage to use the subtle sermon of your pores to lift humanity up.
Thank you to @danharris and @tenpercenthappier for a sacred remembering of the peace inside chaos. Just like the Buddha hiding in this picture.

May all beings be safe. May all beings be happy. May all beings be healthy. May all beings live with ease. 🩵
