We had kimonos to wear to the onsen and sleeping clothes during the turn down service. Food was deliciously served with little touches of love and hospitality from their team was accommodating to our needs. My girls put together a book filled with meaningful memories and stories. We laughed, we cried and we laughed and cried even more. I asked each one to share marriage advice because who better to get marriage advice than those who know me. This is what they said: 1. Be more open to growing, open to feedback, even though you may be resistant. 2. There’s only so much talking you can do, but don’t underestimate the power of a good fuck, otherwise offer food. 3. Don’t underestimate the low hanging fruit-sex. 4. Communicate when you don’t feel happy or you’ll find ways to mask it. 5. Things don’t need to be bad to start going to a professional. Also couple acid trip will give you clarity. 6. Remember why you love him, and have chosen him. Don’t forget to let him know you still think he is sexy. 7. Men want a friend, a lover, a wife, a mother, and a whore! 8. Talk about the hard stuff at the very start of your marriage: money, religion, children, values, so you can both get on the same page.
