@exclusivelymongrels had rescued a litter of puppies from a factory in the outskirts of Singapore. Their doggy mom had given birth and then had been run over by a vehicle, leaving her 8 puppies stranded on the road. I was looking to adopt a puppy. That’s when this little luxmi came into my life. It’s been magical ever since. She has made me feel like a mother, she has taught me selflessness, she has been the greatest support system ever. Don’t get me wrong, I had been gifted 2 dogs earlier and they were bought – both of them well taken care by my parents and in-laws since we couldn’t displace them from their surroundings when I left to move to my own residence. Having said that, luxmi’s intelligence is on another level. People call them by different names – Asian village dog or mongrels but Singapore calls them the “Singapore special”. She is truly special ! If you are looking for a doggy, adopt one. Contact @exclusivelymongrels and see how you can help. Trust me, it will change your life. Truly grateful.

Blooming. A “coming into your own”process. For many it happens later in life and for many it never happens.
For some, it can happen quite suddenly at an age that you don’t expect.
For that to happen, there are various contributing factors and difficulties that suddenly change your perspectives and force you to level up.
1. You don’t care what people think about you anymore.
2. You match energy with efforts and you reciprocate accordingly.
3. Your constant goal is to become a better version of yourself and you realise that changing the way you look is only the outer shell changing its colour. The real change is from within and real happiness is seen in the eyes.
4. You are not in competition with ANYONE. Not your peers and neither the people who hate you or who silently compete with you.
5. You wish well for everyone but you don’t engage with everyone.
6. You don’t adhere to age-old societal rules and norms that don’t allow women to take control of their OWN lives. I say own lives because the old society rules just want to tie you into family politics, conspiracies and gossip which don’t serve anyone.
7. You allow yourself to break, grow and evolve without shame or guilt.
8. You have strong boundaries because you protect your peace.
9. You don’t get addicted to anything or anyone to deal with life.
10. You start seeing people as individuals. Individual souls.
Even family members. That allows you to be guilt-free when dealing with people and responding appropriately.
