Shriya, known for her versatile performances in Indian cinema and digital series such as “Mirzapur,” “Guilty Minds,” “Taaza Khabar,” and “The Broken News 2,” continues to impress with her dynamic range and depth. She has also starred in international projects like the British series “Beecham House” and the French film “Un plus Une.”
Expressing her excitement, Shriya said, “I am honoured and thrilled to be invited as a jury member for the short film category at IFFLA 2024. I look forward to attending the festival in LA and watching these stellar shorts by emerging South Asian filmmakers. The atmosphere at film festivals is always creatively energizing and deeply inspiring.”
Shriya’s experience in producing and directing short films and documentaries that have traveled to international film festivals enhances her perspective as a jury member. The festival, held from June 27th to 30th, 2024, will feature intriguing submissions in the Shorts Program, including ‘Hema’ featuring Rajshri Deshpande, ‘Last Days of Summer,’ and ‘Lori.’ Additionally, the festival will close with “Maharaja” starring Vijay Sethupathi, and “Kill” by Guneet Monga and Karan Johar.
