Susan Wokoma Instagram – A very conscious decision was made back in 2020 at the height of the Black Lives Matter movement (aka black square summer 😒) to deactivate my twitter and change my relationship with the internet. And I decided that if I were to keep the hell that can be Instagram (and my genuine sanity), it would be about work only.
My social media is not a place for discussion and debate whether a group of people’s lives are worth saving or not. That is not a debate.
The internet is rapidly becoming a cesspit, devoid of common sense and truth – and having comments open compromised my personal safety, so I very much post what I like and go.

There is no acknowledgment of truth, there is no culpability and there is no action of change.
This is exactly why the BLM uprising happened in 2020 – we are quite simply refusing to learn from the horrors of the past.
Guys, we know exactly where this is all heading – and it is terrifying.
It is not controversial to demand a ceasefire and march for peace and deep reform of Palestine as well as the return of Israeli hostages.
Donate, write to your MP. The war on Gaza must end.
Islamophobia and Anti-semitism both result in genocides, we know this. Have we learned nothing?
(P.S don’t listen to what news outlets say – the protest was peaceful and 300,000 of us, including our Jewish siblings, marched side by side with one call – to Free Palestine) | Posted on 21/Oct/2023 21:53:55
