Tamara Braun Instagram – HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Okay, so I made this right after I finished the butternut squash pastry. I don’t like wasting food and I had leftover phyllo/fillo dough. It was all ripped up, but I realized it didn’t matter. All you have to do is layer it and the beauty of it is that it still works even when it’s not all together. I like it even better that way. It’s like life. We mostly don’t have things all together. We do the best that we can with what we have. Beautiful (and delicious) things come from it!
BEET, ONION, “CHEESE” TART:
Phyllo/Fillo dough (store bought vegan)
Boiled beets from Trader Joe’s
Tofu Cheese (it’s the cubes but I just mashed it up. Check out old recipe in my reels)
Thinly sliced onions
Fresh Thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Grapeseed oil
Soy(or any plant based) milk to use between layer and on top as a wash
