Tara Emad Instagram – May 21st is the Independence Day of Montenegro.
A day my mother loved and always reminded me of.
Last March, 40 days after my dear mama’s passing, I received my Montenegrin passport. This was one of her wishes from the day I was born.
My mom loved Egypt, she lived here most of her life and spent some of the most beautiful years exploring every corner of Egypt and knew it like the back of her hand she would always tell me.🤍
However, her love for her country Montenegro, only grew bigger by the day. If you knew my mama you’d know how much she loved her country and she would promote it left and right, everywhere and to everyone.🤍
In doing so she instilled this love in me and I grew up to love Egypt as my home but to also love Montenegro and hold it very dearly in my heart.
The day I received the passport I wished my mama was there to see this moment she dreamt of. I am grateful for the fact that she knew I will be getting it and that all procedures are done. But I know that she was there when I collected it, not physically, but I could feel her and I could feel her love running through me.
Today I am celebrating my mom’s love for her home country, a love she taught me and brought me up on. ♥️
