Tazbah Chavez Instagram – I first met @sterlinharjo and @taikawaititi about sixteen years ago when I was interning for @birdrunningh2o at Sundance — years after first meeting him when I was 16 on a film panel for my first short film. Through Bird, Sterlin and Taika instantly became my brothers/sisters and over the years they have been two people who called me what I was before long before I would call myself it: a writer, a poet, an artist, a filmmaker — then they invited me to make @rezdogsfx with them and it’s been the most rez boujiest time of my life alongside our fellow writers, producers, cast and crew. To be honored by @peabodyawards alongside them, presented by badass @kali_ko_reis , is pretty unreal — and a testament to their own perseverance and commitment to bringing others up with ‘em.
