Yumi Stynes Instagram – I got divorced last year.

It was FASCINATING how few rituals there are in our culture to mark what is, for the most part, a pretty positive step forward in the lives of people who have ended a marriage.

So I threw a little party with my nearest and dearest and it was hilarious and fun, cathartic and a great opportunity to acknowledge that there are some key support humans who help a sister out when things are going to hell in her private life.

@Clementine_Ford and I are throwing a party to underline the great big f^cking threshold that is crossed when we transition from being married to being divorced.
AND the unreal bonding that comes when your friends step up and say, “I gotcha.” 😭
