Zaria Instagram – Hard to know where to start with this post!!! I met @benngood when I was working double shifts… Somedays I went in at 6p-2a just to wake up the next morning for a 7:30a -3p. Things were BRUTAL then. All so I could make time for an audition. Or pay for my 300sq ft apt. Still, I would post my lil poems on my insta story. And one day, Benn took me for lunch and said “I think you have a future in songwriting”. (When a multi-Grammy nominated producer tells you this, you listen.) Not only did he co-produce Yeezus, The Life of Pablo, and A Motown Holiday (and much more) but if you’ve ever heard Collide by @tianamajor9 and @earthgang or if you’ve grooved to My money, My baby by @burnaboygram then you have Benn to thank. There aren’t enough thank yous in the world for friends like Benn. But, if I can say one more, thank you for being a part of so many people’s artistic journeys. The world has knowledge of only a small portion of your contribution and I’m so grateful to watch you bask in the spotlight. You deserve it. About 5 or 6 years after our first lunch, and many writing sessions for other artists later…I sang this hook as a temp vocal and Benn kept me on it. It feels like the perfect precursor to the current music project of my own that I am working on. Which has only come as a beautiful byproduct to Ben’s incessant enthusiasm and encouragement. So, it is an absolute pleasure to say… Stream White Lotus on wherever you listen to music ❤️‍🔥 And always post your art… You never know who’s watching ❣️
