Week 24 of 2024 ✨ (Coming at you a bit late but better late than never) A very homey week, with baking, cardboard house making and seeing family ♥️ 1. I welcomed Ottie & @alfiedeyes into my spa! They had warm flannels, fast mists, cold eye patches & a little face massage 😂 Ottie preferred being the one in charge though so very quickly me and Alfie were lying on the floor being pampered haha I just love playing games like this with her at the moment! 2. Weaning prep! Spent an afternoon boiling and cooking lots of veg to pop into freezer cubes for Novie and it’s been so handy to pop one in the microwave every evening! 3. We went to a carboot sale with family! It was funny seeing Ottie walking around with my mum because that used to be me as a child! Was like Deja vu. Who remembers my old blog post carbooty hauls? 4. My first flowers from the sweet pea teepee! (Even since this photo it’s changed so much! I love when they grow so quickly) 5. Week 23 of 2024 ✨ This week we headed off to camber sands for another little getaway (Alfie uploaded a video on YouTube with some cute snippets of our stay if you want to watch it) I actually wasn’t feeling so great so it was the perfect place to be ♥️ 1. We stayed in this gorgeous pink house that backs onto the beach & honestly opening the windows to the view every morning was so lovely 2. Ottie absolutely loved having the beach to play on every day! 3. She also had her first experience in a bunk bed (she slept on the bottom & Novie did not sleep in it, just to clarify haha) Honestly, I wanted to crawl in there and sleep too, it was so cosy. Who else shared bunk beds with their sibling? I’m pretty sure I was always on the top bunk when me and Joe shared 4. Trying to work out how long it would take her to cover the beach in sandcastles or looking for the nearest ice cream 5. Sunset baths once the girls were asleep! 6. Ottie looking cool waiting to hit the sand dunes 7. Spent a fair amount of time playing in the airbnb too! We’d done a lot of out and about during our trip to IOW and so it was nice just spending some chill time on this trip. I actually ordered two zip up storage bags from H&M to put a collection of toys for each of the girls in which made life super easy when packing, travelling and tidying at the end of each day. It also meant they could rotate toys from their little bags during our stay. Me and Alfie also had an evening where we watched “about time” which I’d obviously seen so many times before but it really is one of my favourite films. We both cried and wanted to go and cuddle the girls 😂 8. Novies first little dip in the sea! 9. Chasing each others shadows 10. Trying to work out how long it would take her to cover the beach in sandcastles or looking for the nearest ice cream 5. Sunset baths once the girls were asleep! 6. We’d done a lot of out and about during our trip to IOW and so it was nice just spending some chill time on this trip. I actually ordered two zip up storage bags from H&M to put a collection of toys for each of the girls in which made life super easy when packing, travelling and tidying at the end of each day. It also meant they could rotate toys from their little bags during our stay. Me and Alfie also had an evening where we watched “about time” which I’d obviously seen so many times before but it really is one of my favourite films. Week 23 of 2024 ✨ This week we headed off to camber sands for another little getaway (Alfie uploaded a video on YouTube with some cute snippets of our stay if you want to watch it) I actually wasn’t feeling so great so it was the perfect place to be ♥️ 1. We stayed in this gorgeous pink house that backs onto the beach & honestly opening the windows to the view every morning was so lovely 2. Ottie absolutely loved having the beach to play on every day! 3. She also had her first experience in a bunk bed (she slept on the bottom & Novie did not sleep in it, just to clarify haha) Honestly, I wanted to crawl in there and sleep too, it was so cosy. Week 22 of 2024 ✨ So last week started off with Ottie getting ill which as an emetephobe was….interesting to say the least 🥴 She’s all good now though, I do think toddlers resilience and rate of bounce back is quite commendable! Haha (also a little note to any fellow emetephobes out there with small children, you don’t always catch it – I needed to hear this from people so thought I’d pass it along haha) 1. Got lots of fresh air once Ottie was feeling better! This was one of those walks where Alfie & I just kept saying how lucky we felt having so much green space to be in and loved where we lived so much! 2. Novie has started weaning and she is INTO IT! I actually quite enjoy weaning (although definitely forgot how messy it can get, all part of the fun I guess haha) 3. Did my hair and makeup and felt like it needed to be documented because I do not look like this most of the time! 💀 4. Ottie is VERY into duplo and building things she’s seen or places she’s been to. This is her duplo version of @blackgangchine which I just thought was so cute 5. Celebrated @poppydeyes birthday with a chinese takeaway! What’s your go-to order? 6. New game for outside play is the car and house wash. Filled a bucket with warm soapy water and gave her the hose & a little brush. She absolutely loved it and this kept her entertained for ages. Just thought I’d share here if you need any ideas for garden fun. 7. Bit of pamper time! 8. Went to the Laines for our monthly photobooth session! 9. The sweet pea and green bean teepee is coming along nicely, Ottie was helping me tie them up and trim them. They seem to be growing so quickly now, not long before flowers start sprouting 🌸 10. How is she only 2? She looks about 6 here with her little hot chocolate 😭 @dandycoffeebrighton Hope you’ve all had a good week! ♥️
