Adrienne C. Moore Instagram - What breaks my heart the most is that I didn't get to say a proper goodbye. I won't be able to see my friends and crew members that I grew to love and respect these last three years. As tough as it was to film this show through a lockdown and pandemic, the greatest joy of all was getting to live and experience TORON'NO for 3 years. It was a dream manifestation come true. Adrienne C. Moore Instagram - Happy season 3 to @prettyhardcases When I began this journey, now 3 years ago, I had no idea what was in store. A secret, I visited CA with family back in 2018 and I made a wish to Niagara Falls that I would return some day to hopefully live and work there. Who would've thought 2019 would bring that to fruition. Being hired was literally a DREAM COME TRUE! But I had no idea what lay ahead. I knew I wanted the opportunity to prove to myself, this industry, the world that a full figured, natural haired and middle aged Black woman could lead a show. I wanted to prove that she could have range. That she could be funny and heartbreaking, complex yet simple. Kelly Duff was the genius creation of @tassievcameron and @streely and they have allowed me to bring her to life. And playing a cop has been a lesson learned. I feel like I just want to get it right. To portray the reality of what police face on a daily basis. They are regular people too, and most want to be seen as such. It was always my hope that portraying a cop, and a black one at that, would restore/build some type of trust and community between themselves and the people they've agreed to serve and protect. This season I wanted to explore all those nuances. I wanted to look at positive examples of #blacklove, the complex struggle of being a cop and a civilian as well. And what happens when those worlds collide. Thank you @cameronpicstv and the writers for always allowing me to be a part of the conversation; the cast and especially the crew who made this season. Adrienne C. Moore Instagram - S U F F E R I N G. As I continue to understand and grow in #mentalhealth and #wellness, this little nugget dropped into my lap today and I thought I'd share. I asked a young woman from Thailand what was one of the most valuable lessons she'd learned/experienced growing up Buddhist. She said, "how to stay calm and not let my emotions bring out my 'hot potato head.'" "Hot potato head," I repeated? "Yes, I used to get a hot potato head and get angry a lot," she replied. She then began to teach me how, in Buddhism, one learns to get out from suffering: 1. ACKNOWLEDGE that you are angry or suffering. 2. DEFINE why you are suffering. 3. SEEK out the solution to end the suffering 4. DO the solution. The DO-ing is the tough part. That's the toughest hurdle in the process. JUST DO IT. I double dog dare you to try this and apply this to every area of your life where you experience anger, pain or suffering. His name is Frank Frazier. I used to intern for him at The Black Artist Festival in Atlanta back in highschool." He was such a kind man. (3) In '96, as a gift for interning with him, he gave me a print of one of his pieces and signed it. (4) And now, here we are, 20 years later and his art winds up on one of my character's t-shirts. I've attached BTS photos from season 2. I have more to share, but I'll start here. 1. S/O to my girl @fieldhousekdp our glorious DP (cinematographer) of 2 seasons. She runs 3 departments on set and does it so well. I would often sit in her chair cause she would let me play with her cool camera gadgets while she was setting up shots. 2. To know me on set, is to know I'm always fooling around. Here I try to use all my might to push a private plane. Think I moved it at all? 3. Love my cast. Here's @b.darenherbert and my other fearless leader friend @meredithmacneill. 4. This was a night shoot til about 5am. We were trying to get as much in before the sun came up. 5. And this is a picture of the CN Tower on that night shoot that lasted til 5am. 6. Our award winning stunt director @southcampfilms. Yep, he's my friend. He's just an all around cool guy. 7. Adrienne C. Moore Instagram - Got an active or hyper "reactive" dog (as they say)? Mental and physical stimulation is the best way to sharpen their mind. After all, a tired dog is a good dog. Find ways to exercise their brains as well as their bodies! Got a tire you could use? You can even make it a fun play time with the family and attach your little kiddies to a sled and let your puppy pull them around. The possibilities are endless! Working with easily excited pups or hyper active ones can be challenging. Weight pulling is a great way for you to bond with your dog. It especially helps over excited pups as it gives them needed exercise and a positive outlet for that extra energy! Dogs that participate in weight pulling normally are less prone to psychological issues, have fewer behavioral problems, and form a stronger bond with their humans! I am so grateful to the folks at @frogstodogs for helping me to board and train my DODSON. He really is a special canine. I am overwhelmed with sadness that I have to leave him in the US because of Ontario's unfair ban on #pitbull breeds. While I'm grateful that a place like Frogs To Dogs exists and they are able to help me out under these extraordinary circumstances, it's not Dodson's fault he was born a pitbull mix (Pitador). I stand by my truth that an unruly, aggressive or untrained dog is the responsibility of the owner, not the dog. I love you so much my, Loddy Doddy. I'll miss you terribly while I'm gone. Hopefully Canada will continue to evaluate their laws. But in the meantime, I will continue to stand up and speak out on these unfair rules. #rescuedog #dogsofinstagram

He's super smart and very playful. He just turned 1 year old and has a lot of love to offer. One of my fun tips for training your dog is to give them mind stimulating activities. It stimulates/builds the brain, which helps them grow to be smarter dogs. It also brings them focus and it keeps them from destroying your home. Plus it's great bonding time for you and your animal. As I continue to understand and grow in #mentalhealth and #wellness, this little nugget dropped into my lap today and I thought I'd share. I asked a young woman from Thailand what was one of the most valuable lessons she'd learned/experienced growing up Buddhist. She said, "how to stay calm and not let my emotions bring out my 'hot potato head.'" "Hot potato head," I repeated? "Yes, I used to get a hot potato head and get angry a lot," she replied. She then began to teach me how, in Buddhism, one learns to get out from suffering: 1. ACKNOWLEDGE that you are angry or suffering. 2. DEFINE why you are suffering. 3. SEEK out the solution to end the suffering 4. DO the solution. The DO-ing is the tough part. That's the toughest hurdle in the process. JUST DO IT. I double dog dare you to try this and apply this to every area of your life where you experience anger, pain or suffering. She runs 3 departments on set and does it so well. I would often sit in her chair cause she would let me play with her cool camera gadgets while she was setting up shots. 2. To know me on set, is to know I'm always fooling around. Here I try to use all my might to push a private plane. Think I moved it at all? 3. Love my cast. Here's @b.darenherbert and my other fearless leader friend @meredithmacneill. 4. This was a night shoot til about 5am. We were trying to get as much in before the sun came up. 5. And this is a picture of the CN Tower on that night shoot that lasted til 5am. 6. Our award winning stunt director @southcampfilms. Yep, he's my friend. He's just an all around cool guy. 7. Likes : 745Adrienne C. Moore - 552 Likes - Got an active or hyper "reactive" dog (as they say)? Mental and physical stimulation is the best way to sharpen their mind. After all, a tired dog is a good dog. Find ways to exercise their brains as well as their bodies! Got a tire you could use? You can even make it a fun play time with the family and attach your little kiddies to a sled and let your puppy pull them around. The possibilities are endless! Working with easily excited pups or hyper active ones can be challenging. Weight pulling is a great way for you to bond with your dog. It especially helps over excited pups as it gives them needed exercise and a positive outlet for that extra energy! Dogs that participate in weight pulling normally are less prone to psychological issues, have fewer behavioral problems, and form a stronger bond with their humans! I am so grateful to the folks at @frogstodogs for helping me to board and train my DODSON. He really is a special canine. I am overwhelmed with sadness that I have to leave him in the US because of Ontario's unfair ban on #pitbull breeds. While I'm grateful that a place like Frogs To Dogs exists and they are able to help me out under these extraordinary circumstances, it's not Dodson's fault he was born a pitbull mix (Pitador). I stand by my truth that an unruly, aggressive or untrained dog is the responsibility of the owner, not the dog. I love you so much my, Loddy Doddy. I'll miss you terribly while I'm gone. Hopefully Canada will continue to evaluate their laws. But in the meantime, I will continue to stand up and speak out on these unfair rules. #rescuedog #dogsofinstagram
