Including AIDY AND KENAN GETTING DOUBLE NOMINATIONS WHOAH WHOAH WHOAH EXCUSE ME?!?! BOWEN MAKING HISTORY (as uszh) AS THE FIRST FEATURED PLAYER TO BE NOMINATED. YES ICEBERG!!! KATE GETTING NOMINATED FOR HER SEVENTH YEAR IN A ROW I THINK WHICH IS LIKE- HAS ANYONE EVER DONE THAT?!? QUERN!!!! I loved being with these people for so many years, but last year especially. Watching Heidi and Ego truly dominate the writers table every week and write and perform some of the greatest bits on snl! Watching Andrew, Lauren, and Punkie figure out a very confusing job during a very confusing time. Standing with my friends at that last show in front of an audience who came in and stood up for the entire beginning because they knew how much it meant to have an audience and so they said “well we will be the best audience you’ve ever seen in your whole life”. Laughing in the hallway with Beck and Kyle and Fran after the show and maybe that was secretly my favorite part of the week because holy shit they are so funny. The best after party when you can’t have an after party. Watching Chris and Pete make some of the greatest music videos we’ve ever done, somehow! Watching Alex effortlessly slide into playing Biden like it wasn’t such a huge fucking undertaking and under the biggest microscope. Having a coworker like Mikey Day, one of the most prolific and funniest writers and performers on the show ever, who also lets you fully crash into him and roll over his body in a deflating rubber ball. Watching Chloe kill her first big cold open and then doing it again a couple weeks later! Getting to play at an update desk with two old pals who’ve made that desk somehow the most joyful playhouse in the building. And of course, getting to hear Melissa sing Dolly and share her big heart and big smile and big fake titties with the world. Last year was a freaking honor, truly. ❤️❤️❤️

Caption : There are so many things to say about last night and I’m exhausted from MYOWNEMOTIONS(!!!) so just know I miss that wonderful cast and crew with all of my heart to the point that watching them on tv and not in real life made me laugh and sob and smile and then fall asleep hard. And I am so glad Punkie, Lauren, and Andrew (even though he’s been there absolutely killing it as a writer) get to join this really wonderful family. Welcome! Ok, now here is something else important I want to say, and it also explains why I love my snl crew. The last two intros I got to have Lucy with me, as shes such a part of my life. Covid rules made it so she couldn’t come be in this one, which was a real bummer for me. I asked our AMAZING head of wardrobe Tom(slash producer slash smoke and mirrors expert slash fairy godmother) if there was a way to incorporate her into my intros. He got back to me immediately and said “let me think”. It was Tuesday I think? On Wednesday night he asked for a picture of Lucy. I turned to my side (where my shadow dog can usually be found) and took a photo and sent to Tom. When I arrived the next day, Thursday, for my intros shoot at 30 Rock, he handed me a little blue box and inside was the most special necklace. They found a way to keep Lucy in my intros. And that’s just one reason out of a million these people are my favorite. (And thank you @joewhitmeyer @jodimancusohairdesign @eeags and Tom for sending me a perfect Kimberly look and @doylebird and @caroline.maroney for making it happen so I could still feel like I was a part of this show that is my home no matter where I am. And there’s nothing like walking into a room of strangers wearing big fake titties and then screaming for 20 minutes)

Caption : Always a day (or more) late on everything but you know I had to get in on Obama Day. From the first day I heard of Barack Obama, working the AFL-CIO dem candidate debate coat check in 2003(?!?) and the sweet woman next to me said “oh my gosh… that’s Barack Obama” and I knew he was special by the way she cheered for this state Senator I’d never heard of. To the times I was carrying my little pink purse around California at college with an Obama senate sticker (and everyone would ask what the hell my sticker meant) to that amazing day in Grant Park to saying yes to do the WHCD even though everyone warned against it because it’s a tough room, you can’t win, etc -but you just can’t say no to getting to sit next to Michelle for a night! I was angry for so long and Obama was finally a leader who also felt like a role model in how to be effective in channeling that and sometimes working around it in order to be able to get things done. And how many leaders can motivate using hope and kindness as opposed to anger? There’s so many candidates who run for president and seem to hate our government- but if anyone actually had a “right” to hate the American government it was him (at least in all but the most recent years looking at the major contenders). But he didn’t and still doesn’t. He went there because he loved it enough to want to make it better. He asked career politicians to be willing to lose their jobs to pass healthcare reform, knowing that people wouldn’t get to see the positive effects until a couple years down the line and knowing negative political spin takes far less time. But country over party- and I know plenty of people whose lives were saved and that’s more important than D or R. And no matter how I feel today, nothing can change the pride I felt as an American to know this was our first family. And since this is a public post, and in the spirit of being on the right side of history (even though words feel small compared to the pain and frustration and anger that is so unfathomable it is felt across the globe) BLACK LIVES MATTER and BLACK TRANS LIVES MATTER

Caption : We got out. I self quarantined for two weeks in a tiny apartment. I was scared and panicked and lonely. Holding my phone in one hand and a thermometer in my ear as a person I was in close contact with was sick and what does that mean??? Scared of a city I love. After my quarantine, I drove to Hudson Valley while listening to Cranberries with @mattg0re and @kevinaeh and atLucymydog. I don’t have much to say yet but I’m writing up here and it’s really nice. And cooking and eating and dancing and singing along to Is That All There Is. I love Cuomo. I love that he makes me feel safer and then makes me giggle with a chart explaining our “closeness” that makes us special. Everything feels full of special right now. Love to you and yours. It’s a scary time. It’s a lonely time. It’s uncertain. Sending love to everyone and to science and all medicine and the people on the front line in every line of work and what am I being so careful for- I’m not running for President! So all of us. For anyone who is scared right now. Feeling alone or trapped. You will be ok, too. It’s ok that it’s not ok right now. Oh and thank you to our new fave restaurant Stone House Tavern for the days we don’t feel much like cooking but feel very much like eating.

Caption : Thank you @variety for this opportunity to spend an afternoon gushing over @eggyboom. I think we both cried about loving each other at LEAST once during this interview. At one point we both said “I can’t even look at you right now hold on” because it’s emotional to speak about a friendship you love so much and a person you admire and are inspired by for every reason. Ego- you are brilliant and hilarious and kind and a force of a performer. You are also one of the greatest WRITERS I’ve gotten to witness at my time at snl. Caption : What a year it’s been and birthdays are even more “whatever” than normal right now but they also feel pretty lucky to have, right? This morning I woke up to these big birds in my yard and laughed that the turkeys came to say hello. But then I saw the crest on the heads and kept googling to find out what turkeys have balls on their heads at 8am while sleepy in bed so there’s that image for you. After an extensive 15 minutes of half asleep internet “research”, I’m pretty sure these are peacocks. Kevin took a photo of the prints in the snow and we are even more convinced now. I’ve never seen them before outside of a zoo and I’m pretty sure they aren’t supposed to live here. I texted Leda and she said “if that ain’t a birthday gift I don’t know what is… of course O’s love language is birds on your birthday”. Then she sent me a picture of us on one of the last nights out in New York, the day the world lost Kobe and he was honored by the players and fans during the Knicks game that night at MSG. It was not the easiest for either of us that night but definitely not for my little Leda, who wasn’t sure if she was ready to head to our seats for the tribute (also thank you to MSG for those seats!!!) But she did and we hugged and cried and what a gift to be able to hug each other and not worry about being the only people standing at that particular moment the photo was taken. And you can’t fall when you are flanked by two wonderful people- sweet Petey D and Leda’s amazing friend Rachel @k0kestagram That’s a great gift any day, but I’ll take it even more today on this day that I’m lucky to get 💙💙💙 ***also if anyone knows if there’s a good animal control that I should be calling, let me know. It’s not at all the point of what I’m sharing but I am pretty sure these birds need to be somewhere warm for winter

Caption : This post is VERY late but the last year has been a little crazy. Last Thanksgiving, I got to spend the best vacation ever in PV with mom, bro, both husbands, and friend with benefits. At the GORGEOUS @vidanta resort in PV who served us the most gorgeous room I’ve ever gotten to stay in (truly actually), views like Whoah, amazing dinners including American Thanksgiving on the beach just like the First Thanksgiving (jk but might as well add that to the fun fake story we tell), pools pools all types of pools, World Cup parties, a boat adventure that none of us deserved and so we all kind of giggled in disbelief the entire time before we got slapped slack jawed by the views , an in-room private breakfast that was so amazing I wound up taking 800 pictures of (more than the nature around me because I’ve never seen a breakfast like this- A DONUT BOARD?!?), and the best personal concierge Andrea who we insisted take a picture with us. I don’t know if that’s her job title exactly because I’ve never experienced all of this and so I’m trying to remember it and I feel like Nick in Great Gatsby (sort of? Bad analogy but the real book I’m thinking of is called The Wanderer and it’s French and I just remember it reminded me of Great Gatsby) Anyway. This place was amaaaazing and I don’t get to see my family as often as I’d like and it meant so so so much to me. I’m sorry it took 8 months to post about it. A lot of life happened in between. And a lot of life happening makes beautiful time spent with people you love all that much more special. Oh- and they have a chef who just makes chocolate creations.
