I’m in an absolute daze after experiencing the greatness that is @rebeccabenenati’s magical bodywork journey she took me on today. We have a special history, as she used to lead prenatal yoga classes I took while pregnant with Gio, and then postpartum mommy/daddy and me classes, and since has become this parenting/relationship mentor to me, someone I call on when I could use a sounding board, and or support or guidance, so BASICALLY consider me sharing her handle a real gift.

Here’s the deal -
It dawned on me I’ve neglected myself greatly.
Yes, I love wellness, I care about ingredients, I prioritize clean eating, and I try to move my body as much as I can, BUT the biggest thing I ignore is allowing myself to receive. Admittedly, I give all day. To my kids, my husband, my work, etc. Somewhere along the way I decided that receiving isn’t something I need.
Even typing “need” makes me question if I really do need to receive…. The truth is, while laying in the literal arms of Rebecca today I realized my potential as a provider was being stifled by my belief that I could do it all without receiving.

That being said, let me tell you the menu of offerings I experienced today at chateau @rebeccabenenati 😊

so wild, but I kept telling Andrew I felt like I was on borrowed time, and it all make so much sense now…

right around my birthday I kept feeling this big wave of a feeling, it felt like a giant bowling ball of gratitude pummeling over me. It’s almost as though I woke up and realized how incredibly lucky I am, and how much everything I have means to me.

I know this feeling, I’m familiar with it, because I usually tend to get it when I feel like something exciting or new may be about to happen.

In the last 6 months I had set such specific intentions, similar to how I used to list out my goals when I was 8 and tape them to the ceiling above my bed. Over the last 6 months I’ve felt myself coming back to that feeling of magic I thought once felt I had.

In August I made a big professional change and partnered w a new manager, in November I had a meeting I’d only dreamed of taking over a decade plus ago, and in the last two months there’s been a clear shift in energy from the awareness in which I’ve taken care of myself to the professional conversations that have been had about potential opportunities.

5 years ago I had no idea I was slowly building this cocoon all around myself, this cocoon that allowed for me to give every little bit of myself to my kids, husband, and home. My little cocoon feels ready to make room for more, a side of me that’s been let’s call it, “retired” :)

I miss being someone else, I miss being in your living rooms, and I am forever grateful to have an opportunity to come back 📺❤️

We let the kids know mommy will be gone for work for a little while, she’s going to be back on tv, and they’re really confused how I get in and come back out 🤣

less eventful, more intentional.
with the exception of Andrew doing something a little out of the ordinary (spartan race) we’ve (including the kids) have made some very basic changes in an effort to find more balance and regulation lately. 
Intuitively I’ve felt like my hormones and/or adrenals have been a little wonky lately based off some recent hormonal breakouts, bloating, cycle intensity, etc.

With so many tools in my tool-belt I looked at this as an opportunity for a lifestyle improvement.

Here’s some of the small adjustments we’ve made: 
• Lots more outside time, lunch   dinner al fresco
• Minimal tv
• *getting ready* got a new curling iron, and simply doing my hair has helped me look and feel better 
• yoga @ home - busted my yoga mats out, and now have one upstairs and one downstairs. The kids and I love them
• This means more stretching - instrumental, because I’ve been feeling so much tension in my neck and shoulders
• More at home dates 🩷 that means baths, pillow talk, etc
• Lots of music, right now our family is big on Teddy Swims
• Earlier dinners, personally trying not to eat 2-3hrs before bed
• Earlier bed time, Andrew and I have been out like a light by 10p
• been doing this for over a year, but Andrew just recently jumped on board. No phones in the bed room.
• and lastly, more water. Upped our monthly subscription to mountain valley and have been chugging more water than usual to flush out whatever toxins may be causing my skin to flair up.
• oh wait, there’s one more thing that’s new, I’m taking supplements again, and daily. I take supplements intuitively regularly but for the last week I’ve taken a multi specifically for my lifestyle regularly. 

I’m sure there’s more little things, I’ll comment them@below as they come to mind.

I’m certainly doubling down on my wellness era atm, and it feels good, not stressful, more like “where have you been” type vibes. I missed my yoga mat, I missed taking care of myself, I missed feeling like me.

I’m in an absolute daze after experiencing the greatness that is @rebeccabenenati’s magical bodywork journey she took me on today. We have a special history, as she used to lead prenatal yoga classes I took while pregnant with Gio, and then postpartum mommy/daddy and me classes, and since has become this parenting/relationship mentor to me, someone I call on when I could use a sounding board, and or support or guidance, so BASICALLY consider me sharing her handle a real gift.

It dawned on me I’ve neglected myself greatly.
Yes, I love wellness, I care about ingredients, I prioritize clean eating, and I try to move my body as much as I can, BUT the biggest thing I ignore is allowing myself to receive. Admittedly, I give all day. To my kids, my husband, my work, etc. Somewhere along the way I decided that receiving isn’t something I need.
Even typing “need” makes me question if I really do need to receive…. The truth is, while laying in the literal arms of Rebecca today I realized my potential as a provider was being stifled by my belief that I could do it all without receiving.

That being said, let me tell you the menu of offerings I experienced today at chateau @rebeccabenenati 😊

so wild, but I kept telling Andrew I felt like I was on borrowed time, and it all make so much sense now…

right around my birthday I kept feeling this big wave of a feeling, it felt like a giant bowling ball of gratitude pummeling over me. It’s almost as though I woke up and realized how incredibly lucky I am, and how much everything I have means to me.

I know this feeling, I’m familiar with it, because I usually tend to get it when I feel like something exciting or new may be about to happen.

In the last 6 months I had set such specific intentions, similar to how I used to list out my goals when I was 8 and tape them to the ceiling above my bed. Over the last 6 months I’ve felt myself coming back to that feeling of magic I thought once felt I had.

In August I made a big professional change and partnered w a new manager, in November I had a meeting I’d only dreamed of taking over a decade plus ago, and in the last two months there’s been a clear shift in energy from the awareness in which I’ve taken care of myself to the professional conversations that have been had about potential opportunities.

5 years ago I had no idea I was slowly building this cocoon all around myself, this cocoon that allowed for me to give every little bit of myself to my kids, husband, and home. My little cocoon feels ready to make room for more, a side of me that’s been let’s call it, “retired” :)

I miss being someone else, I miss being in your living rooms, and I am forever grateful to have an opportunity to come back 📺❤️

We let the kids know mommy will be gone for work for a little while, she’s going to be back on tv, and they’re really confused how I get in and come back out 🤣

less eventful, more intentional.
with the exception of Andrew doing something a little out of the ordinary (spartan race) we’ve (including the kids) have made some very basic changes in an effort to find more balance and regulation lately. 
Intuitively I’ve felt like my hormones and/or adrenals have been a little wonky lately based off some recent hormonal breakouts, bloating, cycle intensity, etc.

With so many tools in my tool-belt I looked at this as an opportunity for a lifestyle improvement.

Here’s some of the small adjustments we’ve made: 
• Lots more outside time, lunch   dinner al fresco
• Minimal tv
• *getting ready* got a new curling iron, and simply doing my hair has helped me look and feel better 
• yoga @ home - busted my yoga mats out, and now have one upstairs and one downstairs. The kids and I love them
• This means more stretching - instrumental, because I’ve been feeling so much tension in my neck and shoulders
• More at home dates 🩷 that means baths, pillow talk, etc
• Lots of music, right now our family is big on Teddy Swims
• Earlier dinners, personally trying not to eat 2-3hrs before bed
• Earlier bed time, Andrew and I have been out like a light by 10p
• been doing this for over a year, but Andrew just recently jumped on board. No phones in the bed room.
• and lastly, more water. Upped our monthly subscription to mountain valley and have been chugging more water than usual to flush out whatever toxins may be causing my skin to flair up.
• oh wait, there’s one more thing that’s new, I’m taking supplements again, and daily. I take supplements intuitively regularly but for the last week I’ve taken a multi specifically for my lifestyle regularly. 

I’m sure there’s more little things, I’ll comment them@below as they come to mind.

I’m certainly doubling down on my wellness era atm, and it feels good, not stressful, more like “where have you been” type vibes. I missed my yoga mat, I missed taking care of myself, I missed feeling like me.

Intuitively I’ve felt like my hormones and/or adrenals have been a little wonky lately based off some recent hormonal breakouts, bloating, cycle intensity, etc.

With so many tools in my tool-belt I looked at this as an opportunity for a lifestyle improvement.

Here’s some of the small adjustments we’ve made: 
• Lots more outside time, lunch   dinner al fresco
• Minimal tv
• *getting ready* got a new curling iron, and simply doing my hair has helped me look and feel better 
• yoga @ home - busted my yoga mats out, and now have one upstairs and one downstairs. The kids and I love them
• This means more stretching - instrumental, because I’ve been feeling so much tension in my neck and shoulders
• More at home dates 🩷 that means baths, pillow talk, etc
• Lots of music, right now our family is big on Teddy Swims
• Earlier dinners, personally trying not to eat 2-3hrs before bed
• Earlier bed time, Andrew and I have been out like a light by 10p
• been doing this for over a year, but Andrew just recently jumped on board. No phones in the bed room.
• and lastly, more water. Upped our monthly subscription to mountain valley and have been chugging more water than usual to flush out whatever toxins may be causing my skin to flair up.
• oh wait, there’s one more thing that’s new, I’m taking supplements again, and daily. I take supplements intuitively regularly but for the last week I’ve taken a multi specifically for my lifestyle regularly.
