Trying to put everything Ive endured over the last 6 yrs in a single post is impossible, but those who are close to me know how much Ive suffered from these damned things lol & anyone suffering from fibroids know as well. No amount of vegan or raw vegan lifestyle or meditation to reduce stress, was going to shrink or minimize the amount of fibroids I had. Did the remedies I experimented with help reduce inflammation & pain occasionally? Yes, but in NO way did they shrink or get rid of anything. All in all, I wanted to share a little about my journey in hopes that it will inspire someone to take care of themselves a lot better with diet, reduced stress, & to do proper research on what procedure is best for you just as much as which doctor serves YOU the best! I literally went to 13 doctors & did not allow these non-African-American people to tell me that it was impossible for me to have children. (IYKYK 🥴🙄) And it wasn’t because I was trying to be stubborn or that I did not believe all of these people because I thought I knew better than them. 11 of those doctors never even examined me!! Many of those doctors ignored my symptoms, and refused to acknowledge that the pain & suffering I was enduring Was real. I was told numerous times I DID NOT have fibroids and they were just cysts or polyps!!! And because of that, I refused to accept anything they had to say. And so, I went back to the person who believed me 8 YRS ago, & without hesitation, protected & supported me, and did it with such compassion and professionalism, & I would 100% trust my life with him every single time. They’re trying to replace us BUT USE our likeness and cut us out to save money! They make billions… they’re not losing any money by paying us what’s owed and fair… they’re just not able to take home that extra million 😑😑… while we all have side hustles and make sure to not live beyond our means… because we may or may not have health insurance every other year over being $12 short or because our residuals didn’t qualify us or the studios didn’t report our earnings properly… or they hire “influencers” who will work for product to promote projects because we won’t use our platforms and fan base we curated on our own to do it for free… the cutting costs for them means additional bonus’ and vacations for them also… it’s GREED! She grew up IN the Korean War that my Grandfather (Harabeoji) fought in & my (Halmeoni) Grandmother nursed & was a journalist in. My mom came to America July 12, 1978 & became a US Citizen in 1980 right in time to vote the very first time! She has voted every election ever since! #𝟏- My Great Great Great Grandma Adeline was a slave until the age of 15. NEVER got to vote. #𝟐- Great Great Grandma Maggie, was 68 years old when she PAID for & cast her first & ONLY Presidential Vote in 1968 (she died in 1970) & along with her daughter, my great grandma Clotee #𝟑 . They were a few of the first people to vote in Hattiesburg Mississippi but not without death threats/fear tactics & had to be escorted by armored guards in order to do so. #𝟒- My Grandma Retha Bell was the first of them all to vote freely & safely at the age of 40. ME? I voted the 1st time at the age of 18 in 1996 & HAVE EVERY election since!. My dad entered the US Army at 18 & fought in the Vietnam War… he has proudly served this Country who hasn’t always been kind or fair to him, yet he VOTES EVERY ELECTION & in between! These generations of Black women (& my daddy) with DEEP ROOTS in slavery & Jim Crow in the Deep South, have defeated so many odds & exercised their American rights to vote as soon as they were able to. People bred from the country understand the deeper roots of racism & the tribulations people like Trump & his supporters have caused & those city / privileged bred black folks may not , so I don’t fully condemn those that are lost & uneducated in why their support for the opposition is hurtful… but me?? My KINFOLK? We’re from the south & my mom is an immigrant / US citizen ! My ancestors were slaves who had no choice in anything. So how we move in life is different PERIOD. We are only one generation away from the atrocity that has unfortunately resurfaced! We cannot go backwards!
