I did not have the bandwidth to cook, clean and decorate so I made the incredibly smart decision not to. Instead I called @setthedateyvr which is an amazing local Vancouver company run by a wildly talented group of women who work 9-5 jobs during the week and spend their weekends making your special occasion dreams come true because that is their true passion. And boy can you tell theyā€™re passionate about it! They KILLED it and I loved every single thing they did to make the day beautiful, charming, elegant and delicious! I made all our favorite side dishes but left the heavy lifting up to another incredible team of talented Vancouverians @edgecaters I rarely give such resounding endorsements but these guys more then deserve it! I am deeply thankful that despite a grueling work schedule and being so far away from my family I was still able to rest and renew and celebrate with my people in a gorgeous environment and with delicious food on the table.
