Lauren Liess Instagram - pitter patter 🤍 Imprinting is magical 🪿🪿 *edited for understanding- geese are possibly the strongest imprinters in the planet meaning they identify with thing (mama goose/ human etc) they see when they are babies and bond/ follow it around seeking safety and/or care. 🤍 Primrose Snowdrop are 5 day old female embden geese & they grow SO quickly!!! Geese reach their general full-grown size in only 2 months!! They currently spend their time eating (!!) sleeping, following us around on our heels & being held by someone in the family. 🤍 For now, they live in our orangery- one of my favorite spots in the house- the workroom off of our kitchen garden and will eventually move outside to a pen when it gets warmer out & their adult feathers come in. (They’ll turn white!) We will NOT be free-ranging them as our property is just too wild. ( even though we free-ranged geese for years on another property, our old sweet geese were killed almost immediately when we moved to this property.) We will be building aviaries for them to get the free-range experience and all the food nutrients they need from foraging. #liessgeese #goslings #geese

Lauren Liess Instagram - Today’s the day we launch my newest cabinet collections with @uniquekitchensandbaths !! 🌿 After years of working with various cabinet companies when designing kitchens/ bathrooms to try to get the look and feel I wanted (timeless, authentic, REAL wood finishes and hand-painted cabinets that didn’t feel like they were done in a plastic-like factory coating- you know what I’m talking about!!) and struggling to achieve it, I began working with UKB to develop a bespoke line of cabinet collections that embody the authentic, natural, timeless cupboards I’d been dreaming up. With 25 colors in my natural palette (and custom available) and a number of wax oil stains on white oak, pine, maple more, UKB’s heirloom quality cupboards are handmade by local cabinetmakers. Lauren Liess Instagram - Our library {books out of frame 😉} I will really miss this space when we leave… the kids play games in here and because our house is L-shaped, I can see them from the kitchen on the other side of the house and I just love it 🤍 when it’s warm out and we have the doors open, we use the patio to move from one side of the L to the other and I love how naturally things flow from inside to out here. {PSA- the juniper jute rug from my collection with @rugs_usa is back in stock and the whole collection is on sale right now!! Lauren Liess Instagram - We’ve been working on our personal home for years and all the little the details we planned in the very beginning are finally coming to life. I got the idea to put a cut-out from the hall to the living room when I saw light do something in a pretty way up there during our initial walk-through of the house over 4 years ago. Super simple to have done and I’m happy to have a little glowing a reminder of our faith in the house 🤍
Lauren Liess Instagram - 2023 was one of our hardest but also one of the most beautiful. We lost loved ones and saw close friends lose loved ones far too soon. I hit some goals, forgot about other ones, and both laughed and cried a lot… many moments being torn by both pain and gratitude in one breath. I pondered (far too often) how this was humanly possible always ending in the thought that I guess maybe it’s essentially and completely human. Resilience is a beautiful thing I’ve been noticing a lot and appreciating in others this year. Praying for peace in 2024 and sending love and strength to you and yours 🙏🤍 happy new year from us to you!! Xo

This baby was a STEAL and way cheaper than new copper tubs but isn’t in great shape and we still need to fix pitting etc so I’m hoping we can make it work. It was supposed to be green 😭😭😭 and I’m so sad it arrived cleaned up but we’ll figure out a way to get her exterior green again!! *** UPDATE*** my amazing (and way more observant than me!) LL&Co project manager designer just informed me that she watched this video and the WRONG copper tub was delivered!! 🙏🙏🙏 Which means my green baby should still be still green!!! (This one is also ours but for a spec project but after seeing how it feels in the barn and the views out the doors- we’re now thinking it needs to get installed there instead.) tub in a design studio anyone?? 🙋‍♀️🛁
Lauren Liess Instagram - I designed this room around gardening animals. The goal of the orangery was to create an all around space that’s a sometimes dining room/ sometimes office, where we grow plants, wash our vegetables from the garden, have fires, do crafts with the kids & hang with friends animals. The birds have surprised me this winter and we just adore our friend, “Peach” who is sure to come looking for us when we forget to put out the bird seed. She will even fly upstairs to remind us 🤣 she is now verrrry curious about the goslings!! Connecting with wild animals brings such joy and peace and making a house that encourages it was one of my biggest (and most rewarding) challenges at the Meadow. 🕊️ #themeadow

I’ve been going back and forth internally on its positioning… I have always planned for it to span left-to-right in front of the back window (1st video/ 2nd slide) but can’t forget how much I loved baths in our old tub which faced straight out out a (side) window so I’ve been wrestling with facing it towards the back window (3rd 4th slides). The glass door to the left side will lead to a walled-in garden with outdoor showers in it and the back window (not in yet) looks out to the back yard. I love the silhouette of the tub when it’s sideways and space-wise it fits the room perfectly but I can’t unsee the thought of those facing those views straight on. Here it is both ways and I’m 99.9% on team facing the views now. It somehow feels more authentic to me, having the tub face the way we will naturally want to look but I’m a little sad to see less of the tub straight on and I don’t love having my back to the room. Something I’ve written a bit about in the past is that there are some spaces where the “enjoyment” arrangement (the one you will be using and enjoying while in the space) isn’t as pretty upon entry or to look at… in these cases I think about pros and cons (enjoyment in the room usually wins unless it’s just way too awkward-feeling.) I’ll be posting a video update of our final decision once it’s made… what would you do?? Are you on Team sideways or Team Views?? 🫧 {Also, if you haven’t seen it, our first Meadow House episode is up on y o u. T ube!

Lauren Liess Instagram - controversial kitchen stance- forget the work triangle!! I love a separate fridge/ microwave/ drink station so my hot (cooking chopping) lane stays free and clear 🫶 I attempt to do this in kitchens whenever I can in some way or another. One thing we’re doing differently in our next kitchen - in an attempt to reduce our microwave usage (by make it less convenient)- is we’re putting our microwave behind a door- but still it will be set apart from the main cooking areas. My newest book FEELS LIKE HOME details out this entire kitchen (whole house actually) along with some of my favorite client projects and is a good one for digging in and understanding the whys behind the designs. Lauren Liess Instagram - Welllllll… it’s been a LONG time coming but we finally have a video update of what’s been going on with our “forever” house project at the Meadow 🌿 the full episode is up on our Y O U tu be channel !!🌿 it’s been 2 years since we moved out and we’ve had some MAJOR delays and have been in our “temporary” house much longer than expected. We didn’t start our documenting much of the project so this first “episode” is the best I could do with cobbling together what footage we had but as the episodes go on it should get a bit better :) this first episode shares our story/ the project overview/ and first 2 years of the project. Things are finally cooking over there so I’ll be able to share more real time posts like I did with our current house / the “horse country modern” project!

Lauren Liess Instagram - In an unexpected turn of events ~ we’re saying goodbye to the Lost Cottage. Teary as I type, this place has been so good to us. We love it so dang much but we’re onto our next chapter, our next lost cottage. 🤍🌊 Shut the door to the cottage just now in its cleanest condition ever since all 7 of us have lived there to put it on the market… all I wanted to do was have a glass of wine and hang in the hammock to admire all of our work but it’s time to head home with crossed fingers someone falls for this place the way we did. (Ps- whoever gets this house will have the absolute BEST next door neighbors in the world!!! 😭🫶) My next book BEACH LIFE tells our story here -and other beach houses we’ve redone- and is coming out in a few short weeks!! Never did I think we’d be leaving this place just as the book launched but life does its thing and we flow with it. 🌊🤍

I love to share, chronicle, and synthesize concepts & events, and writing books helps me do just that. I often do my best thinking and internal changing at the beach where life is different and it sets me free… That got me wondering about what exactly happens to us by the ocean so I took a deep dive into the culture of beach towns, the interiors (of course!) the food, and even the science behind why people are healthier by the ocean and what the air, water, sand etc does for us. From the emotional, physical, physiological, and spiritual, this book is all about how the beach benefits us and sends us out as better versions of ourselves if we listen and let it. Lauren Liess Instagram - When rest calls 🌨️ Every now and then I hit a season of life where certain words or themes jump out at me over and over again and they won’t be ignored. I start noticing them in what I’m reading, watching, hearing etc and I begin to think about them and what they mean for my life… how I can incorporate more of this thing into it and I question why the word seems to hold meaning for me in that time. {contentment, love vibration have been some of those words for me in the past and they still jump out at me but they are old friends and nothing I’m surprised by when they pop up in funny ways.} Recently, “rest” has been coming for me… I’ve been appreciating it in various areas of life where I never really understood its role… in homemade pastas, broths and various recipes, in the land’s winter rest and my newfound patience with hard earth and bare trees, and in my own inner urge to pull back and rest, detoxing from noise and to be quite frank, the hate and anger I see here on a daily basis. Sending you love rest. (And I’d love to know- what words are calling to you right now? 🤍)
Lauren Liess Instagram - We get asked a lot about our kitchen gardens / the structure etc so I wanted to share a video of our old garden in early spring (when the spring peepers were out!) I like to build raised beds with 5-6” ledges on top so we can sit on them for weeding/ hanging. The deer did NOT ever go up into this garden which was on a terrace with very low walls and filled with pea gravel. Don’t know if it was the stucco walls or the couple of steps up/ down needed to get in but they just didn’t enter. I also love a dining table or seating area in the garden because when I’ve done all that work to make a garden want to be able to sit, hang, eat and entertain in it. A central table also gets lots of use for picking in large quantities and having somewhere to set it all. 🌿 We also had wisteria growing up the back terrace and I never had any regrets about- it never hurt the house and I loved having something to cut back and I loved the romantic unbridled feel it gave to the place. 🌿 And finally, we have seedlings going in our cold frames right now and I am beyond excited!! happy planting!!

Lauren Liess Instagram - The geese fly over every morning 🤍 I miss our pet geese, Love and Story, so much 💔 I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure out how we can safely have some again on our (very) wild property. Our original geese had been free-ranging for years when we inherited them with our last house and free-ranging during the day was fine there… but something got them from the sky (hawks or eagles) during the day right after we moved to the Meadow. 💔 it’s closer to bigger nature/ the river etc and bigger predators and so we can’t free range them and I’m not sure how happy they’d be if they were in a pen for most of the day. (And how bad the mess would be.) We’ve thought about livestock guardian animals like dogs or a donkey… anyone have experience with geese who don’t free range and/ or livestock guardians for fowl? 🤍

Lauren Liess Instagram - This is your reminder to open the windows in your home as much as possible!! Just 1 hour of open windows a day is beneficial!! (I am NOT good at this when it’s cold out but am trying to get better!) It doesn’t have to be all the windows/ fully open, just a breeze coming in, (the more the merrier tho!) By letting in fresh air, you’re not only refreshing your space but also boosting your physical and mental health. Or try what we do sometimes, pull a little table up to an open window and have a dinner date. 💨Fresh outdoor air helps to dilute indoor pollutants and reduce the buildup of carbon dioxide, dust, and allergens, promoting cleaner air in your living space. 🌿Increased airflow reduces the concentration of harmful chemicals, such as VOCs from household products, which can lead to improved breathing and lower the risk of respiratory issues. ☀️Enhanced Mood: Fresh air and natural light can have a positive effect on mental well-being, reducing stress, anxiety, and boosting overall mood. 💤Better Sleep: Ventilating a room with fresh air, especially at night, can improve sleep quality by lowering CO2 levels and regulating the room’s temperature, (depends on the season) which creates a more comfortable sleep environment. ❤️Boosted Immune System: Regularly opening windows can help increase circulation of clean air, which may help the body fight off illnesses by providing a healthier environment. 😎Increased Energy and Focus: A burst of fresh air can help increase oxygen levels in a room, improving concentration, alertness, and overall energy levels. #loveyourhabitat #downtoearthhome
Lauren Liess Instagram - What walk-out basement dreams are made of ✨ A total dream creative space, our clients wanted a craft room / herb / potting area in their basement that walks out to the vegetable garden. They also entertain down here so we tricked the space out with hidden appliances like a drink fridge and dishwasher. To get more info about the German schmear stone walls, check out some of my earlier reels about this basement. The floors are (heated) flagstone, the island countertop is zinc, and the cabinets are from @uniquekitchensandbaths 🤍 Design by us @laurenliessandco renovation by @carrmichaelconstruction
Lauren Liess Instagram - Whelp… goose planning for the meadow. 🪿 When we moved from this house to the meadow, something big got them from the sky (😞) and so we won’t be able to free-range there like the geese on this last property were able to do for 25 years. This makes things complicated but we’re trying to figure out some sort of large aviary situation and/ or a series of pens they can rotate to and from for grazing. (Geese love grass!!) I miss our geese so much and it’s just not the same without them. Simone used to knock on the door with her beak to come inside and hang 🤣🤍🪿

Lauren Liess Instagram - It’s been a looong time coming but the full house tour of @thelostcottage is up!!! (On our y ou t u be chnl) We filmed it earlier this summer before we moved and we recently said a very bittersweet goodbye to our little slice of heaven in the Outer Banks. We loved every bit of living here and, in the end, made the move due to only having one bedroom for all 5 of the kids and with the two teenage boys getting older/ larger and the little girls still so young, it just didn’t make as much sense as it did when all the kids were little. We thought about adding on another bedroom but it wasn’t a good financial move and the reality was that moving is often cheaper than renovating PLUS we felt that our little surf shack was perfectly complete and charming as it was and we didn’t want to mess with that. We have also learned throughout the years that home is where we land together. We found and moved to another beach place I’ll be sharing soon! TMI for those not interested but it’s a question I’ve been getting asked a lot. 🤍🌊. Lauren Liess Instagram - I loooove pot pies and this was our first attempt at making homemade(ish) turkey pot pies!! For a little background on where we’re at health wise in our house- we try to avoid processed foods (meaning we never cook with them or use them at home but when we go out to restaurant/ friends family etc all bets are pretty much off) which means a lot more cooking from scratch. BUT we found these organic non-processed pie crusts and they have made life soooo much easier when we don’t have time for homemade crusts (which right now is most of the time🤪) 🥧 I’ll be honest- these were THE BEST tasting pot pies from a filling standpoint we’ve ever tasted. (I’ve definitely had better crusts at restaurants but these were still super tasty.) INGREDIENTS: organic/ pure ingredient premade pie crusts butter or cooking oil onion (chopped) celery, cabbage (chopped) carrots (chopped) frozen peas garlic (minced) salt & pepper to taste a bit of fresh rosemary cooked turkey (chopped) chicken broth pinot grigio flour- a few tablespoons DIRECTIONS: Set oven to 400. cut out centers of pie crusts and set aside. Blind bake pie crust edges on 400 for a few minutes FILLING: Sauté all the veggies in a pot , adding salt and pepper. Add in the cooked chicken & any herbs. When chicken is heated, add in some chicken broth, Pinot Grigio, and flour until desired consistency is achieved. Simmer out the alcohol and let the sauce thicken, adding more broth or flour as needed. Ladle fillings into the pie crust tins. Cut the pie “tops” into patterns and arrange on top of the pies. Bake for 20-30 mins on 400. HOMEWORK THIS WEEK: do yourself a favor and make these babies!! Share with #ididmyhomework

It’s the curvy details I love most (not so shocking if you’ve seen my textiles/ furniture designs) and so I want to add a little more swirl/ magic to these babies. Attempting to rid the meadow of existing invasives has been SUCH a challenge but it’ll be so worth it when this place is filled with native wildflowers and grasses that will attract pollinators and bring new life this place!! I’m no expert in this area but have been doing a ton of research for our own project and I’m loving being a part of it with our interior design clients. Lauren Liess Instagram - Do you know about the “secret stool?” For years I’ve been designing kitchens with the cook in mind and sometimes this cook likes to sit down at the island to chop or hang with friends/ family. 😊 I don’t want to have to leave my station because chances are I’ll be up and down but it’s nice to have that sit. We also love eating at the island as a family so we did two in this kitchen so my husband and I could face the kids. Lauren Liess Instagram - Fields of wildflowers have always been my happy place. When was litttle and I would drive cross country from my mom’s to my dad’s (divorced situation) I would oooh and ahh at all the wildflowers on the way. My dad made my world when he would stop and let me pick some. 🤍 Seeing my favorite wildflowers over and over each year and being able to interact with them, bonding with them in a way I never could with garden flowers (long drives staring at them, the ability to just go and pick one, examining it and touching it, making arrangements with weeds because no one missed them etc.) has made me passionate about spreading them. THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of native seeds have arrived for the Meadow (I went crazy ordering) and we’ll be putting them down this spring to replace our lawn!! I am SO excited to try to bring more biodiversity to our property through the growing of native greases and flowers on over 7 acres!! (And I’m also excited for my vases! Don’t worry I won’t pick them all - I love our birds too much 😉}

This book might be my favorite I’ve written (maybe tied with Feels Like Home) and is a real soul search. Life is different at the beach and I wanted to understand why… Beach Life is a deep dive into some of the recent down to earth beach houses we’ve rehabbed, beach mindset, wellness, food, spirituality and personal growth. A lot o’ design, and a little bit love story self-help, I have never wanted a book of mine read more than this one because I think it can really help people live more fully. As I continue to design houses and write books, I’ve realized I really want to help people with more than just design. I want our clients and readers to leave a home or finish reading a book and go out feeling free and invigorated, making plans for living their best lives - both in their homes and in their hearts. Those Queen Anne’s lace-looking blossoms on the coffee table are the blooms from carrots we propagated. 🥕 just cut the top of the carrot off and sit it in a little dish of water for a few days until it sprouts roots then pop it in the ground. Lauren Liess Instagram - They started digging for the garden walls at the Meadow (they are currently held up waiting for final okay from power company!) and my mind is on our vegetable garden!! I cannot WAIT to get planting!!! I’m leaning towards doing gravel with the same boxes with top ledges we had at our old place (pictured here) because it was really nice to be able to sit down and weed or relax. The kids also loved walking along them 😉 I wanted a terracotta roof so badly at the Meadow but it turned out that the existing structure couldn’t support the weight so we went with cedar instead and I’ll be sharing how that turned out soon on our you t. U Be channel. 🤍🌿

I’ve been going back and forth internally on its positioning… I have always planned for it to span left-to-right in front of the back window (1st video/ 2nd slide) but can’t forget how much I loved baths in our old tub which faced straight out out a (side) window so I’ve been wrestling with facing it towards the back window (3rd 4th slides). The glass door to the left side will lead to a walled-in garden with outdoor showers in it and the back window (not in yet) looks out to the back yard. I love the silhouette of the tub when it’s sideways and space-wise it fits the room perfectly but I can’t unsee the thought of those facing those views straight on. Here it is both ways and I’m 99.9% on team facing the views now. It somehow feels more authentic to me, having the tub face the way we will naturally want to look but I’m a little sad to see less of the tub straight on and I don’t love having my back to the room. Something I’ve written a bit about in the past is that there are some spaces where the “enjoyment” arrangement (the one you will be using and enjoying while in the space) isn’t as pretty upon entry or to look at… in these cases I think about pros and cons (enjoyment in the room usually wins unless it’s just way too awkward-feeling.) Likes : 1174Lauren Liess - 1.1K Likes - We get asked a lot about our kitchen gardens / the structure etc so I wanted to share a video of our old garden in early spring (when the spring peepers were out!) I like to build raised beds with 5-6” ledges on top so we can sit on them for weeding/ hanging. The deer did NOT ever go up into this garden which was on a terrace with very low walls and filled with pea gravel. Don’t know if it was the stucco walls or the couple of steps up/ down needed to get in but they just didn’t enter. I also love a dining table or seating area in the garden because when I’ve done all that work to make a garden want to be able to sit, hang, eat and entertain in it. A central table also gets lots of use for picking in large quantities and having somewhere to set it all. 🌿 We also had wisteria growing up the back terrace and I never had any regrets about- it never hurt the house and I loved having something to cut back and I loved the romantic unbridled feel it gave to the place. 🌿 And finally, we have seedlings going in our cold frames right now and I am beyond excited!! happy planting!!

The deer did NOT ever go up into this garden which was on a terrace with very low walls and filled with pea gravel. Don’t know if it was the stucco walls or the couple of steps up/ down needed to get in but they just didn’t enter. I also love a dining table or seating area in the garden because when I’ve done all that work to make a garden want to be able to sit, hang, eat and entertain in it. A central table also gets lots of use for picking in large quantities and having somewhere to set it all. 🌿 We also had wisteria growing up the back terrace and I never had any regrets about- it never hurt the house and I loved having something to cut back and I loved the romantic unbridled feel it gave to the place. 🌿 And finally, we have seedlings going in our cold frames right now and I am beyond excited!! happy planting!!

(On our y ou t u be chnl) We filmed it earlier this summer before we moved and we recently said a very bittersweet goodbye to our little slice of heaven in the Outer Banks. We loved every bit of living here and, in the end, made the move due to only having one bedroom for all 5 of the kids and with the two teenage boys getting older/ larger and the little girls still so young, it just didn’t make as much sense as it did when all the kids were little. We thought about adding on another bedroom but it wasn’t a good financial move and the reality was that moving is often cheaper than renovating PLUS we felt that our little surf shack was perfectly complete and charming as it was and we didn’t want to mess with that. We have also learned throughout the years that home is where we land together. We found and moved to another beach place I’ll be sharing soon! TMI for those not interested but it’s a question I’ve been getting asked a lot. 🤍🌊. For a little background on where we’re at health wise in our house- we try to avoid processed foods (meaning we never cook with them or use them at home but when we go out to restaurant/ friends family etc all bets are pretty much off) which means a lot more cooking from scratch. BUT we found these organic non-processed pie crusts and they have made life soooo much easier when we don’t have time for homemade crusts (which right now is most of the time🤪) 🥧 I’ll be honest- these were THE BEST tasting pot pies from a filling standpoint we’ve ever tasted. (I’ve definitely had better crusts at restaurants but these were still super tasty.) INGREDIENTS: organic/ pure ingredient premade pie crusts butter or cooking oil onion (chopped) celery, cabbage (chopped) carrots (chopped) frozen peas garlic (minced) salt & pepper to taste a bit of fresh rosemary cooked turkey (chopped) chicken broth pinot grigio flour- a few tablespoons DIRECTIONS: Set oven to 400. cut out centers of pie crusts and set aside. Blind bake pie crust edges on 400 for a few minutes FILLING: Sauté all the veggies in a pot , adding salt and pepper. Add in the cooked chicken & any herbs. When chicken is heated, add in some chicken broth, Pinot Grigio, and flour until desired consistency is achieved. Simmer out the alcohol and let the sauce thicken, adding more broth or flour as needed. Ladle fillings into the pie crust tins. Cut the pie “tops” into patterns and arrange on top of the pies. Bake for 20-30 mins on 400. HOMEWORK THIS WEEK: do yourself a favor and make these babies!! Share with #ididmyhomework

There a lightness of being you feel without having to wear coats/ shoes etc and I cannot wait for these kids to get out of school and summer to start!! Summer spirit’s a callin!!!!! Our Wisconsin farmhouse project captures that free feeling essence and is such a warm, relaxed, easy place to be. Those Queen Anne’s lace-looking blossoms on the coffee table are the blooms from carrots we propagated. 🥕 just cut the top of the carrot off and sit it in a little dish of water for a few days until it sprouts roots then pop it in the ground. In a couple of months you’ll have the most beautiful blooms!! {A favorite farmhouse living room we designed featured in my last book, FEELS LIKE HOME. sofas are the slipcovered “Libris” from my collection with @taylorkingfurniture | photo by @helennorman }

Caption : Hello Spring- I love you!!! Friends- This is your PSA to propagate your carrot tops for the garden! Those Queen Anne’s lace-looking blossoms on the coffee table are the blooms from carrots we propagated. 🥕 just cut the top of the carrot off and sit it in a little dish of water for a few days until it sprouts roots then pop it in the ground. In a couple of months you’ll have the most beautiful blooms!! {A favorite farmhouse living room we designed featured in my last book, FEELS LIKE HOME. sofas are the slipcovered “Libris” from my collection with @taylorkingfurniture | photo by @helennorman }

Caption : Sharing some of my favorite goods from my shop @laurenliessandco today in stories 🤍🌿 looooove our handmade laundry baskets and don’t mind so much when they’re hanging our full of clothes to fold 😉 most of my favorite shop good are beautiful, functional items since the reality is that our interiors are full of the functional – it may as well look good! 🤍🌿 This the laundry room from our #wisconsinfarmhouseproject. I cannot WAIT to get planting!!! I’m leaning towards doing gravel with the same boxes with top ledges we had at our old place (pictured here) because it was really nice to be able to sit down and weed or relax. The kids also loved walking along them 😉 I wanted a terracotta roof so badly at the Meadow but it turned out that the existing structure couldn’t support the weight so we went with cedar instead and I’ll be sharing how that turned out soon on our you t. I cannot WAIT to get planting!!! I’m leaning towards doing gravel with the same boxes with top ledges we had at our old place (pictured here) because it was really nice to be able to sit down and weed or relax.
