Leah Lewis Instagram - Aaaaand finally - I present to you the cast of our new show Matlock airing on CBS this fall. Im so grateful to clock in every morning and end my nights with these people and the crew members of the show. One thing I’ll say, as mysterious and dramatic as this show can be, there’s always room left for cackling like chickens. It’s tender, it’s raw, and it’s damn fun. From top to bottom, every person a part of this show cares so deeeeply. That has been the backbone of this show. Clockin into that biiig love. See you this fall ❤️

Leah Lewis Instagram - Its been a month since my trip to Brazil and I never got to sharing my trip to Manaus. ❤️✨ I’m smiling here. The suns out. Twinkling even. Right?!!!! But now, we travel backwards through a series of lovely photos to land on the last photo. The devil, the one, the only, delicious fish (and maybe the two guanabana smoothies) that thrusted me into the 9th dimension of becoming acquainted with our hostel toilet in ways I just don’t think I gave my consent for. I wasn’t ready. It got dark man. It really got pitch black in my soul for a good minute.

Annnyway!!! We spent 1 whole day doing real activities like real people but also met some incredibly valuable people along the way. @alexialue_ spent everyday being a good egg and supporting every drug store run. sucesso ¿ Food poisoning is just motivation to come back to the Amazon and… do better. Basically ✨🙅🏻‍♀️🇧🇷

Leah Lewis Instagram - I got to have my mother with me for a week of press, a premiere and then moving back to LA. It was very wholesome and all of this has been incredibly wholesome. She used to drive me around to all of my auditions, classes, and we would do everything together when I was a kid. She always went above and beyond to support goals or dreams I believed in. We love a mommy 🌸❤️

❤️‍🔥🐅🧧

I think doing press with your friends is quite stressful for the production team as we hoot and holler a joke every five seconds, segway into off-topics and bleed into overtime. I am sorry. I like this movie very much and I like these people very much it deserves all the hoots and hollers ☺️

Leah Lewis Instagram - Yesterday was the premiere for The Tigers Apprentice that will be out on @paramountplus on February 2nd. 🐉❤️🥹

We’ve been working on this film now for 4 years. Growing up watching most of the cast in this film, yesterday was such a proud moment to stand by some of these talented actors and celebrate such an important moment of representation. This animated film is a story about a boy named Tom Lee, played by the moooost talented @brandonsoohoo, who goes on an adventure with a tiger and the Chinese zodiac to save the world. It celebrates its culture and finding yourself in a way that is so well done.

On the real though, I wish I had a film like this growing up to watch and I hope all the little tots or big tots out there get to watch this film and just take pride in their heritage and get to celebrate all the things that are cool about it. It IS cool. Your culture, your heritage, your family and chosen family IS so cool. I had some of my favorite people there who came out to celebrate too so thank you. Cool is and understatement for all of this.

Personal thanks to the amazing creative team behind this. Jane Startz, Raman Hui, @paul_watling, @carlos.baena, @yongduk.jhun ❤️

Leah Lewis Instagram - Elemental was nominated for an Oscar yesterday morning. Then, a couple of weeks ago, this film was also nominated for a Golden Globe among many other awards. I want to scream congratulations to the team of Elemental who poured their heart and soul into every frame, line, and movement of the story and characters.

I’ve been on a magic carpet ride that is being a part of the Pixar family. One of the most rewarding things of my last year has been getting to see how deeply this film has impacted people. Nothing makes me more gushy than seeing little girls and boys look up to characters like Wade and Ember. I only worked on this with the talented Mamoudou Athie for two years having never met him until the film was nearly completed, the team worked on this for 7 years before this. The best part out of all of this really was finally getting to give it to the hands of the people who raised this film up with their voices and support. It’s been such a wild experience talking to people of all ages about what this film means to them. We tell stories as actors and then when you ask viewers their side, there’s even more stories behind those as you share your work. Our film started off in such a quiet place and slowly grew to become a huge bang the more and more people got to connect with this film for what it truly stands for. Love in all capacities.

Peter, this is the most beautiful love letter to your parents. May your “blue flames” continue to inspire other flames to burn brighter than ever . ❤️

The best part out of all of this really was finally getting to give it to the hands of the people who raised this film up with their voices and support. a hot new food poisoning has entered the villa

The Amazon rainforest is right next door and I’m reporting live from the depths of my bed and eternal gut jail but I will make it there by the end of the week mark my words 🌿❤️🇧🇷

Leah Lewis Instagram - We go to different places to learn more, explore the places in photographs on our computer screens, meet new kinds of people we read in books, and interrupt the rhythm of our daily lives. Somewhere halfway through a trip I’ll always ask myself, “What will it feel like when it ends?” I kind of have to push away the thought to really stay there in the pocket of the present, but I also speak to it and try to remind myself that it doesn’t have to end there. Really, we pick up so much along the way to bring back to add to our daily lives that it all lives in you, nice and snug. The experiences just add more flavor and perspective to the daily rhythm if you allow those versions of yourself to come home with you. There’s so many ways to continue honoring and embodying what you’ve enjoyed. This trip has been so beautiful so far. I love my people so much and trying new things with them. Even more so, I adore the people of Rio De Janeiro. I’m taking pieces of you home with me!! Cariocas são maravilhosos ❤️🇧🇷🏄🏻‍♀️

Leah Lewis Instagram - The sun of 2024 feels warm and inviting and I’m excited to see what grows in the light. There were many experiences and changes I went through in the last year that now feel like they’re ready to bloom finally. I planted seeds, I uprooted a couple here and there, the building blocks multiply. The things we go through and want, the people in our lives, do not always see themselves through the end of the year and that is okay, but they do leave vital tools that propel you forward in the next one. This year feels like it’s opening all the space for my intuition, expanding my already wonderful community, pushing creativity past her limits and seeking unbridled abundance. Arriving into the new year feels so peaceful on the sands of Rio and I welcome it all. Brigado universo, eu amo minha vida. Aqui estouuu 🇧🇷🤲🏽❤️

Leah Lewis Instagram - @cw_nancydrew, you are one of the biggest blessings I’ve ever been able to experience.

I’ve played George Fan on Nancy Drew for four seasons and this year our show ended and aired its last.
The first photo is our spring chicken season 1 roll out and the beginning of an adventure that will stay in my heart as one of the first bests of many. The last photo is our family of hens and roosters as we huddle in close for our last actual night shooting and call “scene” on the whole show. We say goodbye to the time spent over the last 4 1/2 years filling the shoes of characters that grew, fought hard for their growth, loved each other, and learned to love themselves through each other.

For the people who started their journey with George Fan and were able to gather bits and pieces of her to get through their own realities, thank you for sticking with us this whole show. When I first started this show, I could barely pay my rent just like George 🥹 Just as much as I hold my own growth dear, I hold hers even closer. This role was a solo prickly pear who slowly became a goat cheese feta beet pear salad with all of the flavors to give by the end of this show. Loneliness turned into independence. Defense mechanisms melted into a puddle of accepting love, her unbridled fierceness turned into loyalty to her people and helping others. The struggle of growing up in an alcoholic family with no father while raising a family of two sisters on her own became her pride. Lack of self love and realization slowly turned into self motivation and preservation as she faced challenges one after another. Her sassy comments… stayed sassy. I love you, George doesn’t really say I love you unless sh— hits the Fan, but that’s okay. We all learn to show our love in different ways and for that, George was accepted just the way she is and came to be.

❤️ BTS next and a lovely peek into some of the magic our CREW created. Hundreds of people worked behind the scenes to put every single thing in its place. 8 days an episode, over 200 crew members there day in and day out, and then just us bingbongz out here on screen playing pretend in this gorgeous world they created. #NancyDrewSeason4

Leah Lewis Instagram - As the strike has lifted, out comes a love letter for a film I was apart of last summer. If I didn’t lose all my photos on a misplaced phone, you’d have gotten a raunchy post that was filled with obnoxious love, goats, laughter, boiling heat, losing daylight and joy - but these photos will do for now. Take my word on it.

Tripped Up is a film about female friendship, finding yourself through the noise of your OWN self, and really learning to respect the people you love the most despite being so different. Part of what this work gives me is an incredible amount of appreciation for the people I get to know during the process. I walked onto this project excited and open and I walked off this project feeling like I gave so much love, received all of it in return, and broke a rib from laughing so hard and having so much fun.

Our fearless director @shrutirya thank you for leading us so lovingly and allowing all of our weirdness to be welcomed, our writers @carriefoggshaw and @cristinacat thank you for sharing your experiences so personally and being absolutely joys to work with. @vanessawilliamsofficial you’re a legend among us all. @gilperezabraham, you play the charmingly platonic voice of reason so well and from the moment we met we dug in deep. @jewdygold, everything you touch turns to laughs. @jellpell, you are so graceful and talented. @dannykornfeld, our villain of the plot, I could say three words to you but you already know how much I respect, adore and admire you. I love you.
To @sashafox, @arielwinter, @ashley_moore_, my gworls, it’s curtains on this one and I love you all so much but I’m lucky this was just the beginning of the love we have for each other.

Leah Lewis Instagram - I write from across the world from where I was recently and nostalgia rolls over the brief search as I gather more photos to share. A couple moments feel timeless for me. They make me curious for more. Who put that drying clothing on after I passed through? Has the grass yellowed with the turn of the newest season? Do the street food frog legs taste better this month? I do not know - But I do love the lil tokens that bring me so much joy to have just been there when I was. 🤞🏽

Leah Lewis - 3 Likes - Aaaaand finally - I present to you the cast of our new show Matlock airing on CBS this fall.

Leah Lewis - 3 Likes - Its been a month since my trip to Brazil and I never got to sharing my trip to Manaus.

Leah Lewis - 3 Likes - I got to have my mother with me for a week of press, a premiere and then moving back to LA.

Leah Lewis - 3 Likes - Yesterday was the premiere for The Tigers Apprentice that will be out on @paramountplus on February 2nd.

Leah Lewis - 3 Likes - Elemental was nominated for an Oscar yesterday morning.

Leah Lewis - 3 Likes - The sun of 2024 feels warm and inviting and I’m excited to see what grows in the light.

Leah Lewis - 3 Likes - @cw_nancydrew, you are one of the biggest blessings I’ve ever been able to experience.

Caption : @cw_nancydrew, you are one of the biggest blessings I’ve ever been able to experience.

Leah Lewis - 3 Likes - As the strike has lifted, out comes a love letter for a film I was apart of last summer.

Caption : As the strike has lifted, out comes a love letter for a film I was apart of last summer. If I didn’t lose all my photos on a misplaced phone, you’d have gotten a raunchy post that was filled with obnoxious love, goats, laughter, boiling heat, losing daylight and joy – but these photos will do for now. Take my word on it. Leah Lewis - 3 Likes - I write from across the world from where I was recently and nostalgia rolls over the brief search as I gather more photos to share. 🤞🏽

I do not know - But I do love the lil tokens that bring me so much joy to have just been there when I was. 🤞🏽
