Maggie Q Instagram - I’m convinced our bodies are made to move. Being so sedentary is a new (and scary, honestly) thing! On days when I don’t get out on a hike with the dogs or do some kind of quick workout, I can always feel a difference. 
So, here’s a bodyweight circuit I did during the midst of a busy day. I shut my laptop, hustle outside, and take 20 minutes to reconnect all my body parts to my brain. The next task I jump to after these little sessions like this one is always the most creative or productive part of my day. (ps - the one-arm body weight rows are tougher than you think!)

1. 12 tricep dips
2. 12 one arm body weight row, right arm 
3. 12 one arm body weight row, left arm 
4. 12 toe touch crunches 
Rest 1 minute, repeat 3x total

Maggie Q Instagram - Rose and geranium are the essential oils I use to keep fleas and ticks away from my dogs. The oils I use are nothing fancy. I just pick up generic ones from the health food store. 

It’s one of the wonders of nature that the scents of rose and geranium are so hated by fleas and ticks, but so wonderful to humans! (I love how my dogs smell after placing this on them!) Besides placing drops of essential oils on my dogs, I also like to add garlic to their food during high tick seasons (fall and spring) to give them internal protection too. Try this out on your dogs for flea and tick protection especially if you live in a wooded area or go on lots of hikes.

Combine all ingredients in blender. 

Handful of ice cubes
1 stalk of kale
2-3 dandelion greens
Handful of cilantro
1 ruby red grapefruit (quartered)
1 cucumber (peeled and quartered)
1 cup water
1 Advanced Restorative Probiotic from Activated You (open capsule, pour out powder) 
1 teaspoon of agave (I like green juice flavor, but if you want a little sweetness add this.)

Blend till smooth and enjoy your new favorite, fibrous morning drink! 

Extra Notes:
You’ll need a high speed blender to really *obliterate* your vegetables and get the desired consistency!

Maggie Q Instagram - Do something just for YOU today. That will positively affect EVERYONE around you. It’s not the amount of time spent, it’s the intention. Feel powerful when you make decisions that allow you to carve some space out of your day for yourself. Set a timer for 2, or 3, or 5 minutes (however much time you feel you need) and sit quietly, focusing on your breath going in and out. 

I like to count up to four and then down from four. It’s the way I stay present for those few minutes. It’s all about letting go of the incessant nature of the mind! Try it and let me know what you think!
