Caption : Rose and geranium are the essential oils I use to keep fleas and ticks away from my dogs. The oils I use are nothing fancy. I just pick up generic ones from the health food store. It’s one of the wonders of nature that the scents of rose and geranium are so hated by fleas and ticks, but so wonderful to humans! (I love how my dogs smell after placing this on them!) Besides placing drops of essential oils on my dogs, I also like to add garlic to their food during high tick seasons (fall and spring) to give them internal protection too.
