Majandra Delfino Instagram - Clothes chosen for comfort, my back pack for cushion, and shoes that wont require a change for any potential gym related visits - but still having so much fun putting it together. Her biggest goal being hanging with her best friends and living up to their love of hard work and learning. I didn’t actively try to keep her authentic and earnest, or in awe of the stouthearted. She’s that way so far despite having two dick head parents. TBH the absence of a first day blow-out or girl gang uniform weaponized for dominance was something I never expected. Truly thought I’d have daughters that were absolute c*nts. Instead, I got 11 years of a funny, wistful, open-hearted, food and serums maven. And Louis… And while I *know*she will change, I have to boast while I’ve got it. So for now, here sits my digital shrine to sweet Cecilia on her first day of middle school. Long may she benevolently reign. (But also totes here if she ever needs guidance going full c*nt mode 💅🏼👙🛍️)

Putting on an event like what we experienced in Paris is no easy feat. It’s back breaking and relentless. And I have to say, Julie and Aurelie, you both absolutely crushed it. To get three actors, all living in vastly different states in America, at a time when travel everywhere was not the smoothest, that in itself is an impossibility. And how you both circumvented it so beautifully is mind blowing.

To take on a weekend of events like you both did takes an unthinkable courage and many would crumble in executing. But every obstacle that popped up, you both overcame with grace and patience and love.

We are so grateful for you both - and so grateful to everyone who came. You all had to overcome so many many things to get there and I cannot tell you how much we appreciate it and cannot express enough how much the big things and the small ones, none of it goes unnoticed. We love you all and couldn’t be more grateful to have been all together in magical France. And if you couldn’t make it, we will always find a way.

Majandra Delfino Instagram - I want to talk about the Dans. But I always find myself at a loss for words because flimsy little words make a mockery of the truth. Words don’t hold the weight of the solidity, the strength of unwavering support, the level at which this Dandom operates.

Since 1999 (I was 5 years old…;) Brendan and I always marveled at the support of the Roswell fandom. We all did. It felt unparalleled and unique. That stayed with me deeply. And nothing rivaled the magic of Roswell in my opinion. So I wanted to create a show specifically for that fandom, for that magic. Of course I could never make something as great but I could at least write the fandom and our mutual admiration a gushing love letter. Easy to do as I too was head over heals with the world of Roswell and Michael and Maria. But networks dismissed my proclamations of Roswell’s magical niche and the fandom’s unstoppable power - in short they dismissed US. But I never stopped believing, from my first pitch meeting in 2005 till now. I pitched to anyone that would listen and was turned down. Every. Time.

Then I get a call out of the blue from Brendan. He had been thinking about the very same thing. Maybe not the *exact* same concept because I’m the smarty pants and he’s the eye 🤪 but he had the essence down pat. And off we went, now the two of us, taking meetings to sell this thing.

Majandra Delfino - 3.1K Likes - Had a lot of questions come in about the whole “Game of Thrones Cut” where David and I didn’t make it as extras in an episode. Let me tell you MY side of the story, as @davidwalton and I, in a classic married couple conundrum, remember the events very differently. We flew from LA to Peniscola Spain (that’s pronounced PENIS cola, don’t miss that fine opportunity to repeat aloud...a lot) which was a butt long trip in the air, coupled with the five hour drive from Madrid to aforementioned penis place. When we arrived at the hotel at around midnight, we were given our call time of 8am. Jet lag be damned, the real wake up call for me was the realization that we’d gone through all this trouble (and left our infant children) not to eat Jamón and enjoy Spain. No. We were there to work. And as “background artists” nonetheless. As a quasi successful actor, I’ve grown to realize there’s very little else more demoralizing than witnessing the difference in treatment when I’m on set vs my husband. Whatever, he may be prettier and much nicer, but I’ve worked longer! And have an Alma award G-d damn it! I’m right here! Standing right next to him!! (He’s also 6’4 and I’m 5’6” and I always have a pouty expression but THATS NOT THE POINT) I digress. So there I was, absorbing the reality that I was going to be waking up butt ass early, dress as a slave girl, and experience that same “oh...and the wife” dynamic. BUT AS EXTRAS. And for those of you who work on sets (and everybody CHILL) but a lot of times background artists bring out some of the more crazy people in the town. And to say I have PTSD about the whole thing wouldn’t suffice (@shug_life_sfv Feel free to back me up on all we’ve experienced together in this department). So in two words my feelings were: No. Grathias. But I love my husband. And I loved his innocence in thinking we’d ever make it on the show and not be cut out immediately. So I did the damn thing. And then after it started to get too repetitive, too cold and the local espresso places started opening, I lost the plot. The smooth smell of a local crema beckoned me. So I walked over to Benioff and said “let’s be real, I can sneak off, yes?” (Cont.)

Which means they wouldn’t be able to use our stuff. So I went back, stood next to my husband and kept doing our “thing.” And here’s where things took a turn. They changed the set-up and started with a close up on us. And I don’t know what happened to David but suddenly his energy went from professional actor to that of a kid’s party mime. Mind you we had no lines, and sometimes without words it’s challenging to convey things but oh my god he started to really put his back into it. He was acting SO into the damn cous cous I felt like we were on a multicam with Tony Danza and not an award winning show that kills and rapes at the drop of a hat (and dressed as slaves ourselves no less!) And that was it for me. I came all this way, I wasn’t getting to enjoy the espressos, and now my husband was acting hacky. So I fell on the sword. That’s right. I saved him from himself so he could say we got cut because I was indignant and hangry and not that he was doing Monty Python when the scene called for Dying of Leprocy. That’s the convenient truth I tell myself for wasting his trip. But I have to tell you, when the director told me “yeah, you’re good, you can go” and I was wrapped for the day, THAT’S when the memorable times started to roll. Food, wrap parties, dinners with the group, THAT’S where I lived. I came for the paella and I stayed for the sweet family dynamic between the cast and crew. Because that’s where you can be hacky AF and nobody cuts you. (Disclaimer: When I asked the director if I was done, I swear there was a twinkle of respect in his eye. Regardless, David stayed behind and did his job as a background artist to the very end of his set up. He still believes it wasn’t my fault we got cut and defends his big arm movements over the cous cous, so it seems everyone came out unscathed, except David Benioff. As a married couple I would say that is a win. (Also, David wasn’t hacky. I was just hangry. Really really f-ing hangry)).

Majandra Delfino - 2.3K Likes - David, BD™️, mother fucking, Walton. Before I met you, I understood the implications. I knew it was a deeper, longer, more layered road ahead, this kid business. Anyone could facilitate a “vision” of what it looked like - the cute house, the mason jars for cocktails, the obligatory posts that barely hide the seething resentment towards the person you cast as a spouse back when it was all a race to the aisle. We can all try and make our moms and grandmas proud with the cute-ish guy who would toe the line, give us good stuff on paper, and fund delirious projections onto our most well-performing golden child with fun “trips with the Gueirlz” in between - and I believe people misunderstand you because you’re so stupid handsome that such might be the trajectory for someone worthy of you. But being the downer I am, I knew that would not sustain. I needed a soul guy. A “let's allow men and women to have emotions” guy. An “Am I wrong here? Okay well tell me why because I want to understand” guy. Up for healing all the inevitable generational wounds that arise, the built-in bullshit male v female propaganda baked into everything, someone who knew just how much the sensitivity in men has been so forcedly silenced it can only bleed all over everything that is holy. And sure. You’re not infallible, you’re far from perfect, but you’re down on the daily to learn in the name of love no matter how uncool, over-talkingly nebbish, and downright backbreaking - and for me, THATS what my then hypothetical children deserved in a father. What we all deserve.

So while parenting with you sucks shit because to our children you are kind, gentle, analytical, deeply feeling and always, always, always relentlessly up for doing the right, sensitive, “I see you” thing but you legit tune out when I talk and say “what” more than is humanly possible, that is exactly why I let you nut inside me with nothing guarding the net.

Anyone could facilitate a “vision” of what it looked like – the cute house, the mason jars for cocktails, the obligatory posts that barely hide the seething resentment towards the person you cast as a spouse back when it was all a race to the aisle. We can all try and make our moms and grandmas proud with the cute-ish guy who would toe the line, give us good stuff on paper, and fund delirious projections onto our most well-performing golden child with fun “trips with the Gueirlz” in between – and I believe people misunderstand you because you’re so stupid handsome that such might be the trajectory for someone worthy of you. But being the downer I am, I knew that would not sustain. I needed a soul guy. A “let’s allow men and women to have emotions” guy. An “Am I wrong here? Okay well tell me why because I want to understand” guy. Up for healing all the inevitable generational wounds that arise, the built-in bullshit male v female propaganda baked into everything, someone who knew just how much the sensitivity in men has been so forcedly silenced it can only bleed all over everything that is holy. And sure. You’re not infallible, you’re far from perfect, but you’re down on the daily to learn in the name of love no matter how uncool, over-talkingly nebbish, and downright backbreaking – and for me, THATS what my then hypothetical children deserved in a father. What we all deserve. So while parenting with you sucks shit because to our children you are kind, gentle, analytical, deeply feeling and always, always, always relentlessly up for doing the right, sensitive, “I see you” thing but you legit tune out when I talk and say “what” more than is humanly possible, that is exactly why I let you nut inside me with nothing guarding the net. . Love you so much David. I know you’re not a social media guy, but the world should know the kind of father you are.
