Miranda Hart Instagram - This is what I looked like when I met my all time crush #matthewperry I was filming in the same studios and got the chance to meet him. I had often said publicly he should be my husband which was embarrassing to address in first meeting! Plus I forgot this was what I was wearing. Half way through our chat i suddenly realised and screamed “this isn’t who I am!” And proceeded to try and explain in a garbled way as I tried to prove I could well be wife material. He was very gracious in my utter madness. Thanks for all you did on and off screen to be there for people. And thanks for being a gracious celebrity crush. ❤️💔
Miranda Hart Instagram - Ten years ago at my 40th Birthday Party (Strictly themed obviously) a friend jokingly said to me “So what will you do for 50?” I replied, not joking, “My dream is I’m in a snowy log cabin with someone I love”. I don’t know why I had that dream for 50 before my 40’s had begun - but it came true this week.
Dreams can come true. Many of mine have. But what living for half a century has taught me, amongst many things, is that those dreams don’t mean that a simple or easy life is granted (does anyone have such a thing?).

My last decade has had the most extraordinary and exhilarating highs and the most confusing and confounding lows. I would never have expected any of them. (And why my book is taking so long to publish as there continues to be more to share!) But they’ve shown me that life by its nature IS up and down, it IS bitter sweet. And when we accept that we celebrate the ups and are less fearful of the downs. We see it all as an unfolding daily mystery understanding more and more that despite all that might be around, there’s always joy. Whether that’s big dreams coming true or a simple smile at steam rising from a calming cup of tea.

I can also tell you that 50 feels not only joyful, but young, light, and full of hope and promise. That’s also definitely unexpected, and I hope reassuring to anyone younger who feels weighed down.

Thank you for the birthday wishes. Thanks to @ditchlingcabin for the lovely welcome. I’n very glad I came across you on a random google search - bit loathe to tell people about it as it’s so divine! And I suppose the heavens are to thank for the snow.

I hope your Christmas season and segue into a New Year can be done peacefully as you let each day unfold as it may, taking gentle steps towards your dreams lest they come true but knowing we’re in control of very little in the end, which I find deeply freeing and exciting.
Hark at me - turned 50, think I’m some sort of wise sage. Oh, I’ve just farted - and we’re back to normal… As you were…

Miranda Hart Instagram - Just an over-sized lady feeling snug on an over-sized bed in her new scrumptious over-sized cardigan feeling over-sizedly excited about life (and an under sized dog).
Cardigan is @joanieclothing Really recommend. Planet friendly. Larger size friendly. Price friendly. #joanieclothing
Miranda Hart Instagram - Just three ladies in their @themirandashop Christmas jumpers. Have you got yours yet?! 🎅 🎄
Love oo. ❤️

Miranda Hart Instagram - Just a little thought on weight in the New Year. Often a New Year can make people feel shame for not being ‘other’. When they are perfect as they are or have all the right to self-compassion if 2022 was difficult. Never let shame inform decisions and direction in your life. 🧡
Miranda Hart Instagram - I know I am a larger human but I still don’t understand the wedge of scatter cushions…. They only get chucked on the floor or we have to sit on the floor and admire the display…
Miranda Hart Instagram - The world might say “You’re 50, you should probably smarten yourself up and finally take yourself more seriously”
I say “What does that even mean? I enjoyed cutting my hair last night and I can’t see the back so… Plus, I think the minute we try and ‘take ourselves seriously’ we are fitting into a worldly view that isn’t right anyway, doesn’t work for us and we become less and less who we are”. So there!

#fabulousandfreeatfifty #feelingfree
Miranda Hart Instagram - If we can stop apologising for the things we have been led to believe we need to, we will start to free others to do the same. Free yourself and be kind to yourself and you are naturally doing the same for another. 🧡
Miranda Hart Instagram - You are not alone in being alone. Many people are single, grieving or in abusive relationships. Being single is not a lesser trait.
Reach out and share and be gentle with yourself. You always have you on your side. Love oo. 💕

Miranda Hart Instagram - Happy Unfiltered Christmas Eve Eve.

I’m already concerned how much freer I feel in my fifth decade and I’m only 10 days in. I can only apologise about what could and probably will ensue! I’m coming at ya at fifty!

Miranda Hart Instagram - Photographer focused on the Such Fun sign more than the divinely glamorous Patricia Hodge. But we agreed that was right. It’s a very nice light sign!!
From www.themirandashop.com

And if there are tickets left to see Hodge in Private Lives at the Ambassadors Theatre then she and Nigel Havers are an absolute master class.

And I found the Miranda theme tune in music section! 🎉

Miranda Hart Instagram - Sweating after a declutter!
I am the biggest dress size I have ever been and I have about 14 items of clothes I fit into. Some trousers, 6 shirts, 2 jumpers, 1 cardi, 1 jacket. And I wonder why I ever felt I needed more. I am not going to get anything else. I love the simplicity and with all the need in the world feel lucky to have these.
And I would be lying if I said I didn’t have @themirandashop items in my size to bring some variety and colour like my sweatshirt.
I will wear my own shop items without embarrassment as I slowly start to wear the unexpected change in my body without embarrassment too. Not because I feel lesser for being bigger but because any change takes a beat to get used to. But I might as well enjoy it. If I lose the menopausal mounds again in a few years I might miss them! 🧡

Miranda Hart Instagram - Bravo I say. Simple. Classy. No electricity. 🎄
And it means we can say “nice bush” with authority and glee. Obviously.
Miranda Hart Instagram - Sometimes, when my life and job involves posing in a t-shirt that states my ‘allure’ because it’s part of a comedy creation thingy I do, that can jar when you hold acute awareness of suffering in the same world.
But I decided that the worst thing we can do is stop doing the things we do. Because not everyone can be on the frontline and we all have skills that the world needs and I suppose sometimes we just have to think about making our little patch of the world a fraction better for whatever silly or seemingly meaningless way.
So here is me, my allure and my t-shirt from @themirandashop where I create some fun and cosy things that may help one or ten of you feel better. And remember you too have the allure!!! 🧡🧡

Miranda Hart Instagram - Was trying to send someone photos of new sunglasses to see if they suited me ! And I think this is most definitely my album cover…. (Do musicians ever say that about photos?). It’s rock but not getting it quite right and that’s my brand…. I also could at quick glance easily be mistaken for an ageing male rock star and that feels on brand too….

Caption : Ten years ago at my 40th Birthday Party (Strictly themed obviously) a friend jokingly said to me “So what will you do for 50?” I replied, not joking, “My dream is I’m in a snowy log cabin with someone I love”. I don’t know why I had that dream for 50 before my 40’s had begun – but it came true this week. I’n very glad I came across you on a random google search – bit loathe to tell people about it as it’s so divine! Hark at me – turned 50, think I’m some sort of wise sage. Oh, I’ve just farted – and we’re back to normal… As you were… xx

When they are perfect as they are or have all the right to self-compassion if 2022 was difficult. Never let shame inform decisions and direction in your life. 🧡

So there!

From www.themirandashop.com

And if there are tickets left to see Hodge in Private Lives at the Ambassadors Theatre then she and Nigel Havers are an absolute master class.

And I found the Miranda theme tune in music section! 🎉

Miranda Hart - 35.5K Likes - Sometimes, when my life and job involves posing in a t-shirt that states my ‘allure’ because it’s part of a comedy creation thingy I do, that can jar when you hold acute awareness of suffering in the same world.

Miranda Hart - 29.6K Likes - Was trying to send someone photos of new sunglasses to see if they suited me ! And I think this is most definitely my album cover…. (Do musicians ever say that about photos?). It’s rock but not getting it quite right and that’s my brand…. I also could at quick glance easily be mistaken for an ageing male rock star and that feels on brand too….

Miranda Hart - 24K Likes - She’s smiling in the rain.
She’s talking about herself in the third person.
She’s wearing a new jacket that makes her feel like a cross between a gardener, a landgirl and Indiana Jones.
Important details of why I share here:-

British outerwear brand @TROYLondonUK has teamed up with @CountrysideFund by releasing a selection of their best-selling Tracker Jackets individually embroidered with The Prince’s Countryside Fund logo and donating £50 from each sale to the charity through the summer. These 100% cotton jackets are a great summer layer for those looking to support the vital work of the PCF to support farming businesses, rural enterprises, and provide training opportunities for young people.
