Rachel Riley Instagram - If only we could do this as adults…
Rachel Riley Instagram - Of all the ridiculous scenes Joe Wilkinson @gillinghamjoe has caused over the years, from boob jobs, to breaking England’s strongest man in a papoose, to getting stuck up a reindeer’s backside, Joe’s mascot tonight is my absolute favourite 😂🤣😭😭🤣 I asked him afterwards if there’s ever been anything he’s asked props to make and they said no, to which his answer was, no! Hats off to the creative team who have to make this stuff 😆 Catch the next ep of the series tonight 9pm @channel4 to find out what it was ☕️

Rachel Riley Instagram - Emotional and cathartic day joining an estimated 105k people coming together in London today to say no to antisemitism.

Relieved it was so peaceful and glad it was so well attended. It was particularly meaningful to meet up with former Countdown champ and Palestinian peace activist John Aziz, and to see Kurds, Iranians and Ukrainians, each with their own huge struggles, come out to show their support.

I had the privilege of addressing the crowds at the end, here are my words, and a few pics of friends and family who made it down.

Proud to be British. Proud to be Jewish. Thanks to all who joined us. ♥️♥️♥️🇬🇧✡️

Rachel Riley Instagram - A real honour last night to have been given two @womensawards for ‘Inspirational Mentor’ and ‘Most Inspirational’ in the Public Eye, for raising awareness around Holocaust education and against antisemitism in general. Especially meaningful at times like these and whilst wearing the @bringhomenow yellow ribbon for the 134 hostages who still need to come home.
Some of the stories we heard from other winners, from surviving domestic abuse, modern slavery and sex trafficking, to battling multiple bouts of cancer whilst caring for a young family, and using such adversity to help others, were nothing short of incredible. A privilege to be in such good company. And lovely to share it with my family.
Big thanks to Sky Andrew and the team at the Inspiration Awards for Women for your support, amazing to have gone from being in awe of the women I presented awards to over a decade ago, to having them be presented to me now,m ☺️ I hope you raised a huge amount for @planinternational. 💗🌍👧🏾🧒🏽🧕

Rachel Riley Instagram - Just managed my 20th blood donation @givebloodnhs the first successful attempt since babies, woohoo!🩸♥️💪

Last time into my third year of breastfeeding my iron was too low, but @wildnutritionltd will be pleased to hear that their iron and vitamins supplements are working as this time they had to use their machine to check my levels weren’t too high to donate! (They were perfect 👌). I was #gifted their expertise and samples and very grateful to Lorna and the team for that - thanks ladies 🫶.

Rachel Riley Instagram - This is 3️⃣9️⃣! And I partied like it was my 18th and 21st combined 😆🤥🤣🤭🥳 At least getting older makes you realise what’s really important in life - love, loved ones, and Korean food. 🙏😋😘
Rachel Riley Instagram - Today marks 150 days since the Hamas terror attacks.

150 days of terror, near starvation, sexual abuse, lack of daylight, violence, imprisonment in cages.

19 women remain at the mercy of medieval rapists and murderers. They have families, loved ones, and those who are still alive have dreams for the future.

Their names are Naama, Judy, Noa, Romi, Arbel, Carmel, Maya, Eden, Inbar, Doron, Liri, Daniela, Shiri, Shani, Karina, Amit, Agam, Ofra, and Emily.

I’m thinking of them every day and join their families’ cries today to #BringBackOurGirls

Rachel Riley Instagram - Countdown today. Just bang out of order.
Rachel Riley Instagram - When I reflect on the last year, a personal highlight for me was going to Windsor Castle in July to receive my MBE from the King, for Services to Holocaust Education.

I know I’ve done far more to earn it for fighting anti-Jewish hate in general, than specifically for Holocaust education, and even though learning about this darkest chapter of history has been my motivation for speaking out, I thought ‘Holocaust Education’ was maybe a more palatable or sanitised way of describing the fight, and not exactly one and the same.

But how I view it all now has completely changed since October 7th. Holocaust education feels present and urgent at a time where people in the West have openly been celebrating, as well as denying, the biggest loss of Jewish life since the Holocaust, complete with rape, torture, kidnappings, and medieval, sadistic brutality against men, women, children, Holocaust survivors, foreign workers, Israeli Arabs, and anyone else who was unlucky enough to have been in the vicinity of Hamas during their attacks. As a result, incidents of anti-Jewish hate are surging around the world and of course this New Year’s Eve feels somber.

Fighting antisemitism has never been easy, but unless we are prepared to roll over and accept these crimes, repeated in Israel and around the world as Hamas and their supporters have vowed to do, then fight it we must.

I hope, as every decent person does, for the remaining 139 hostages in Gaza to return home to their families, and for an end to the violence in Gaza and the region as soon as possible that allows for stable and safe home for everyone there to be able to live in peace. This should be obvious, but to some it clearly isn’t and so must be said.

I’m grateful to be in the relative safety of Britain as we close this year, here’s to a miracle for 2024, and thank you to the silent majority who wants all of this too. ♥️🙏

Rachel Riley Instagram - Just what I wanted for my birthday! Lovely day with the fam, thanks for the well wishes 😍🥰😘💋🫶
Rachel Riley Instagram - It’s now been 4 years since @pashakovalev and I became parents… and so we are firmly in the Elsa/Frozen zone with this little girl! Just breathing a sigh of relief now all the birthday celebrations are officially done, and it’s time to get ready for Christmas 🙈

Massive thanks to the brilliant Elsa (@leanneburkinshaw12 @poptopeventsuk) and amazing face painter @nirjarahoney for Mave’s little party.

We took her to see @frozenlondon at the theatre in Covent Garden yesterday and wow, what a production, just incredible 😍

These last 4 years have flown but we’re enjoying the ride so much.

(Also thanks to @babymoriofficial for her Xmas PJs gift from them amongst these pics)

Rachel Riley Instagram - Hola! Shalom! Salaam! - one of the first lines in the gorgeous new Disney movie - Wish 🌟

Took the girls for their first ever trip to the cinema and what a lovely experience it was. The film is a new instant classic in my book, enjoyed the girls sitting on my lap during the scary bits, wagging their fingers saying, “naughty, naughty King” 😂

I’m glad we’re in the Disney age with them now, can’t wait till they’re old enough for the parks. We enjoyed the Disney 100 exhibition together a few weeks back too, although I probably would have enjoyed it more without them and actually being able to listen to and read the displays (sorry girls!).

Thanks too for the purple Asha costume that was #gifted to Mave, lots of little girls will enjoy dressing up as her for years to come I’m sure.

Rachel Riley Instagram - It’s World Wildlife Day today, which gives me a good excuse to post this pic taken just as Pash was getting bitten by ants when we were in India a few years back! 😆🫣
You’re supposed to tell wildlife conservation success stories today, so it made me think of our first nature trip together, which sparked a whole load of others and is pretty much our favourite way to spend our time.
Back in 2016 we went to Brazil, and one of the highlights was visiting the Onçafari jaguar conservation project in the world’s largest wetlands - The Pantanal.
It was in its infancy then, conservationists had visited Africa, and brought techniques back like staking (already killed in nature) prey out in open spaces vs dense forest, so tourists have more chance of spotting cats returning to the carcass to eat at nightfall, in order to boost eco tourism, collecting data showing jags weren’t the culprits eating cattle, and generally that jaguars are more valuable alive, than dead.
As is so much in life, the financial arguments often have more sway than anything else.
Since then we’ve been to The Galapagos, Napo Valley in the Amazon Basin, Sri Lanka, India, The Maldives and can honestly say wildlife trips are where our happiest memories are. Hopefully more trips to follow when the kids are a bit bigger! (Any suggestions on where and when with them for future are much appreciated!)
PS sorry for the terrible home videos at the end (Pantanal capybaras, jaguar, giant anteater), I’ve definitely not missed my calling as a wildlife camerawoman but happy memories nonetheless!

Rachel Riley Instagram - Today on Holocaust Memorial Day I want to pay tribute to two wonderful men I have the privilege of meeting while they were alive, who we’ve sadly lost in this last year.

Zigi Shipper BEM and Sir Ben Helfgott were born in Poland and as children, lost most of their extended families as part of the systematic murder of 6 million Jewish men, women and children in the Holocaust.

Sir Ben spent his youth as a slave labourer, in ghettos and concentration camps and saw unimaginable horrors. The story of his arrival in England after liberation has been immortalised as part of the story told in the BBC movie, ‘The Windermere Children’. Sir Ben overcame so much adversity to become the captain of British weightlifting team and won a bronze medal in the 1960s Olympics. He did decades of charity work, supporting fellow survivors and educating the public on the dangers of extremism and hate going unchecked.

Zigi’s childhood was spent in the Lodz ghetto, at several concentration camps including Auschwitz-Birkenau, and he survived a Nazi death march before being liberated. He came to England to join his mother, after his grandparents and father who he’d previously lived with had died or where never heard of again. Zigi too dedicated many decades educating young people about what happened in this awful period of history, and even though he suffered so much in his life, he still had such an infectious personality and was an absolute joy to be around. He too has been immortalised as King Charles (then The Prince of Wales) commissioned the portraits of seven Holocaust survivors, of whom Zigi was one, and so Zigi’s face hangs on the walls of Buckingham Palace today.

Sir Ben and Zigi were great lifelong friends, great advocates for @holocaustuk and are missed by so many in the wider community.

You can read more about them here.

May their memories be a blessing.

Hats off to the creative team who have to make this stuff 😆 Catch the next ep of the series tonight 9pm @channel4 to find out what it was ☕️ #comedy #catsdown #catscountdown #8outof10catsdoescountdown

Rachel Riley - 10.5K Likes - Emotional and cathartic day joining an estimated 105k people coming together in London today to say no to antisemitism.

Rachel Riley - 10.4K Likes - A real honour last night to have been given two @womensawards for ‘Inspirational Mentor’ and ‘Most Inspirational’ in the Public Eye, for raising awareness around Holocaust education and against antisemitism in general.

Rachel Riley - 9.4K Likes - Today marks 150 days since the Hamas terror attacks.

Rachel Riley - 7.3K Likes - When I reflect on the last year, a personal highlight for me was going to Windsor Castle in July to receive my MBE from the King, for Services to Holocaust Education.

Rachel Riley - 6.4K Likes - It’s World Wildlife Day today, which gives me a good excuse to post this pic taken just as Pash was getting bitten by ants when we were in India a few years back!

Caption : It’s World Wildlife Day today, which gives me a good excuse to post this pic taken just as Pash was getting bitten by ants when we were in India a few years back! 😆🫣 You’re supposed to tell wildlife conservation success stories today, so it made me think of our first nature trip together, which sparked a whole load of others and is pretty much our favourite way to spend our time. Back in 2016 we went to Brazil, and one of the highlights was visiting the Onçafari jaguar conservation project in the world’s largest wetlands – The Pantanal. (Any suggestions on where and when with them for future are much appreciated!) PS sorry for the terrible home videos at the end (Pantanal capybaras, jaguar, giant anteater), I’ve definitely not missed my calling as a wildlife camerawoman but happy memories nonetheless! #wildlife #conservation #ecotourism

PS sorry for the terrible home videos at the end (Pantanal capybaras, jaguar, giant anteater), I’ve definitely not missed my calling as a wildlife camerawoman but happy memories nonetheless!

Rachel Riley - 6.1K Likes - Today on Holocaust Memorial Day I want to pay tribute to two wonderful men I have the privilege of meeting while they were alive, who we’ve sadly lost in this last year.

Rachel Riley - 6.1K Likes - Today on Holocaust Memorial Day I want to pay tribute to two wonderful men I have the privilege of meeting while they were alive, who we’ve sadly lost in this last year.
