Rashida Tlaib Instagram - I will never back down in speaking truth to power and for justice for all.

The apartheid government of Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians, and our country must stop sending U.S. bombs and weapons.

The apartheid regime will not erase us. Solidarity with all those outside of these walls in the streets protesting and exercising their right to dissent. It's shameful that members of Congress would give a standing ovation to genocide.
Rashida Tlaib Instagram - On her birthday, @RashidaTlaib’s dignity, resistance and courage made her shine bright like a 💎 in the rough.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, may you always be blessed. I love you … and am so proud of you. I’ll never first forget meeting and interviewing you when you were canvassing door to door. I was so impressed. So authentic. A true leader. 🗣️ ✊🏿🇵🇸
Rashida Tlaib Instagram - President Jimmy Carter was brought to the U.S. Capitol to lie in state, and it was an honor to be there with his family. I wore my Palestinian keffiyeh to show my gratitude for his courageous stance in speaking out against apartheid and standing up for peace.

Rashida Tlaib Instagram - This young boy was getting bread for his family when our U.S. made bombs killed him. When will it be enough killings for the government of Israel members of Congress?

The majority of my colleagues don't believe Palestinians deserve to live. This child is not human to them. He is not deserving of life. It's sick.

He was getting BREAD!

Rashida Tlaib Instagram - It has been a hard year to find joy. My eldest son reminds me to be grateful for moments like this where our community continues to find faith in the work I am doing in Congress. Time and time again, our 12th Congressional District families remind me that speaking truth to power and being unapologetic in wanting to tear down oppression and injustices everywhere are still worth fighting for.

Today, I was sworn in for the fourth term in Congress.
I want to thank all those families in the Tenacious 12th. I'm proud to fight for you all in this 119th Congress. It is truly an honor to work for you all. #RootedInCommunity

Rashida Tlaib Instagram - I am so proud of the @uncommittedmvmt. They are laser focused on saving lives. They are moving our nation and the Democratic Party to upholding international laws and moving away from funding a genocide. Tonight, they organized a sit-in after the DNC denied their request from weeks ago to have a Palestinian speaker.

It shouldn't be this hard.

Why is the DNC saying that Israeli children are more valuable than Palestinian children? Where is our shared humanity? Stop erasing Palestinians. We exist. We deserve to be heard.

Rashida Tlaib Instagram - @motaz_azaiza may be physically away, but his mind, soul, and heart are still in Gaza. The trauma and pain are evident in how he speaks about what he lived through and witnessed. He wants to save lives. He wants to help as many Palestinians as he can (me too). The overwhelming guilt weighing on him is felt instantly. Many of you reading this feel it too. How do we stop a genocide?

I know this much: our existence is the resistance. We occupy space and pull a mirror up to show how silence is complicity to show the inhumanity.

One day, our beloved Palestine will be free. One day, Motaz will see that Allah had a plan for him when he picked up that camera. One day, a world will be created where Palestinians are allowed to live.

We will never stop talking about Palestine. We will never forget the genocide in Gaza.

Rashida Tlaib Instagram - On the first day of Ramadan, I got the news that my Sity Muftieh transitioned. I feel like a part of me died too. She said she would wait for me a few years ago. She wanted me to come to Beit Ur El Foka and pick figs from the fig trees surrounding her modest home. She loved her farm (especially her chickens) with olive trees everywhere you looked. Sity loved helping other people who would stop by for water, tea or a bite to eat.

She was Palestine for me. Everything I love about Palestinians and being Palestinian myself she contained in her. She was tiny but had the biggest and kindest heart. The first photo was taken after I won my first congressional election in 2018. She wore her best Palestinian thobe and was full of pride. The video was from my last election where she did the traditional zagharit to display joy.

Sity and the family see me as their bird flying free while they are caged under oppression and violence. It brings me to tears knowing she never saw a Free Palestine, but I know her spirit streams through the leaves of her olive and fig trees while her body forever will be in Palestine.

Allah Yerhama 🙏🏽

Rashida Tlaib Instagram - The Israeli government has launched the largest invasion of the West Bank in decades—with fighter jets, drones, armored vehicles, and ground forces.

The goal has always been the ethnic cleansing of Palestine. Time for our country to stop arming war crimes and violations of international laws.

Rashida Tlaib Instagram - I can't believe this is where we are in our country. A member of the U.S. Congress can't dare say Palestinians deserve to live and stop funding war crimes without being targeted by a U.S. based Israeli lobby group who suppresses free speech, funds insurrectionists, anti-abortion candidates, and anyone who is as obsessed as they are with ethnically cleansing Palestinians.

Some folks won't ever get it.

@coribush is so real that she shook Congress. She literally walked in the House Chamber completely unafraid and only had one mission: save lives now. She isn't just a congresswoman. She is a wife, a mother, a nurse, someone who knows how important access to abortion care and housing is because our systems failed her too.

She never hesitated to call out state funded violence here at home and abroad. We are approaching the 10th anniversary of the tragic murder of Michael Brown, which sparked a movement in her district that helped birth the Cori Bush we see in Congress today.

She is my personal hero. Always will be. I will always remember her call where she said, "You are not doing this alone, I got you."

I love you, Cori. I'm sorry the system failed you again.

Rashida Tlaib Instagram - The anti-war movement has caused a seismic shift in American politics, which for decades had been dominated by unconditional military support for Israel. Thanks to your massive collective pressure, it is now a mainstream position to demand that the US halt weapons transfers to Israel.

Rashida Tlaib Instagram - I am standing in solidarity with the brave University of Michigan @uofmichigan students who have been in the diag for 5 days peacefully protesting the university's complicity to the genocide in Gaza.

Their bravery and courage to stand up for what they believe is right is inspiring. I am so proud of their willingness to fight for justice.

Contrary to mainstream media, these students have been peaceful; sharing stories of resilience, participating in art builds, and sharing faith from shabbat to jumaa prayers. This is what solidarity looks like!

Rashida Tlaib Instagram - ... and now there are four.

Meet the four American Muslim elected members of Congress @andrechronicles @ilhanmn and our new sister in service, @lateefahsimon.
Rashida Tlaib Instagram - Always rooted, never wavering on who I am:

The proud daughter of Palestinians that grew up in the most beautiful Blackest city in the country, Detroit. The city that births movements raised me to never stay silent during times of injustice.

From Detroit to Gaza, we will all be free.

Rashida Tlaib Instagram - My sister @coribush is everything we need in Congress. Her lived experiences and challenges in her life are the reasons why she fights so hard for her district.

Cori is a nurse, a mother, a person of strong faith, an organizer, and now an unbought Congresswoman.

She is under attack right now because she dared to stand up and say NO more bombing of children. She dared to say CEASEFIRE NOW. She dared to say that Palestinians deserve to live. She says all of this because Cori believes in saving lives no matter faith or ethnicity.

Support Cori now. We can't keep letting them dehumanize and tear down the people who courageously spoke out against the government of Israel’s war crimes. St. Louis raised a congresswoman who doesn't back down to bullies.

Let's stand up together and say enough.

Volunteer. Donate. Organize.

Rashida Tlaib Instagram - Today's headline:

"U.S. signs off on more bombs, warplanes for Israel-- Despite a widening rift with the Israeli government, the Biden administration continues to authorize the transfer of 2,000-pound bombs and other weapons"

This week's action by the Biden Administration shows that our country is not serious about saving lives and stopping the genocide of the Palestinian people by a murderous maniac.

It has been difficult to stomach colleagues and leaders within the Democratic establishment claiming that "we will forget" or that "this is an issue that is only important to Arabs and Muslims." They need to wake up and see that Americans of all different backgrounds do not support sending more weapons and funding the massacre of a whole people. They want our country to stop enabling the use of starvation as a weapon of war or supporting a corrupt right wing apartheid government that doesn't abide by international law.

I'm sharing these images because behind the over 30,000 people killed are real human beings suffering due to the fact that we have allowed a growth of a toxic culture inside the U.S. that doesn't recognize Palestinian humanity and is addicted to war.

No amount of finger wagging, big-name fundraisers, or empty (and insulting) empathetic rhetoric can save President Biden from losing this election if he doesn't change course. This will be snatching defeat from the jaws of victory against a convicted, two-time impeached rapist. No one else will share the blame.

With me, you'll always get truth. If folks are truly worried about the forever impeached president getting back in the Oval Office then it starts with valuing life here and abroad. Americans don't want to fund a genocide.

With me, you'll always get truth. If folks are truly worried about the forever impeached president getting back in the Oval Office then it starts with valuing life here and abroad. Americans don't want to fund a genocide.

Rashida Tlaib Instagram - Anti Palestinian racism is real, and folks are pretending as if the racist tropes used for over a year along with the " kill them all" message weren't going to lead to more hate crimes and discrimination. It's dangerous and freaking disgusting.
Rashida Tlaib Instagram - @tayta_from_the_d (aka Tots) has been a surprise gift for our family during the pandemic. She was a failed foster. After 11 weeks, we couldn't let her go, so we adopted her. Every time I am sad about everything going on in the world, she just comes up and stays with me. It has been incredible to see how she connects with every single family member. I tell everyone that I never thought I would be a dog mom, but I am convinced that they are one of the ways to help people through trauma and other painful mental health challenges.

Please consider adopting a fur friend from @detroitanimalcareandcontrol. The @friendsofdacc
made it so easy.

P.S. She made it on our campaign postcards this year. She is a natural, so long as you yell out "bones"!

Rashida Tlaib Instagram - It would take 800,000 streams for an artist to make the equivalent of $15/hour. It would take 1,000 streams to buy a cup of coffee.

Currently, musicians make tiny fractions of a penny per stream, while streaming has grown to represent 84% of recorded music industry revenue in the U.S.

The Living Wage for Musicians Act would transform the industry and finally help the artists.

Rashida Tlaib Instagram - We all have been watching Palestinian babies and children being killed in masses. It has forever changed my view of the world and elected officials who say and do nothing to stop it.

Today, our beautiful loving community had a chance to welcome four children from Gaza who are here to get the care they deserve. To be able to apologize to them for our country’s role and to hug their bodies. Even without legs and arms, their hugs were full of hope and strength.

Please support @heal.palestine work.

Thank you to all who showed up at the airport to welcome them.

I made sure each of them got Detroit VS Everybody gear as they enter this journey of healing.

Rashida Tlaib Instagram - Join our movement to rid the Democratic Party of Republican extremism: RejectAIPAC.org

Over 75% of Democratic voters support an immediate and permanent ceasefire now. So why aren't 75% of Democrats in Congress doing the same?

Because AIPAC & their GOP donors bought their silence. No more silence in the face of Israeli atrocities. #RejectAIPAC and ceasefire NOW!

Democratic voters across every demographic group support a ceasefire. The only reason Democratic leaders don't is because they're scared of AIPAC.

If we want an immediate and permanent ceasefire, we must #RejectAIPAC from the Democratic Party and give voters their voice back.

The majority of my colleagues don't believe Palestinians deserve to live. This child is not human to them. He is not deserving of life. It's sick.

Rashida Tlaib - 35.5K Likes - On the first day of Ramadan, I got the news that my Sity Muftieh transitioned.

Sity and the family see me as their bird flying free while they are caged under oppression and violence. It brings me to tears knowing she never saw a Free Palestine, but I know her spirit streams through the leaves of her olive and fig trees while her body forever will be in Palestine.

Caption : On the first day of Ramadan, I got the news that my Sity Muftieh transitioned. Rashida Tlaib - 31.9K Likes - I can't believe this is where we are in our country.

Rashida Tlaib - 12.7K Likes - Today's headline:

"U.S. signs off on more bombs, warplanes for Israel-- Despite a widening rift with the Israeli government, the Biden administration continues to authorize the transfer of 2,000-pound bombs and other weapons"

They want our country to stop enabling the use of starvation as a weapon of war or supporting a corrupt right wing apartheid government that doesn’t abide by international law. I’m sharing these images because behind the over 30,000 people killed are real human beings suffering due to the fact that we have allowed a growth of a toxic culture inside the U.S. that doesn’t recognize Palestinian humanity and is addicted to war. No amount of finger wagging, big-name fundraisers, or empty (and insulting) empathetic rhetoric can save President Biden from losing this election if he doesn’t change course. This will be snatching defeat from the jaws of victory against a convicted, two-time impeached rapist. No one else will share the blame. With me, you’ll always get truth. If folks are truly worried about the forever impeached president getting back in the Oval Office then it starts with valuing life here and abroad. Americans don’t want to fund a genocide.

made it so easy.

P.S. She made it on our campaign postcards this year. She is a natural, so long as you yell out "bones"!

Caption : @tayta_from_the_d (aka Tots) has been a surprise gift for our family during the pandemic. She was a failed foster. After 11 weeks, we couldn’t let her go, so we adopted her. Every time I am sad about everything going on in the world, she just comes up and stays with me. It has been incredible to see how she connects with every single family member. Rashida Tlaib - 11.4K Likes - It would take 800,000 streams for an artist to make the equivalent of $15/hour.

Rashida Tlaib - 9.4K Likes - We all have been watching Palestinian babies and children being killed in masses.

Rashida Tlaib - 8.3K Likes - Join our movement to rid the Democratic Party of Republican extremism: RejectAIPAC.org
