Rhona Mitra Instagram - Plonked here on a frigid cold bench at Paddington station. February in England is not for pansies. Pausing in between connections. Anyone whos from London will be aware of the familiar scent of burnt rubber from the tracks that has an oddly comforting way of letting you know you are home. The soporific toxic blanket has pushed me into a place of temporary, sedentary introspection. Taking a small beat to stand back from the ever escalating global debacle running amok on the world stage, to acknowledge what has been a motherfucker of a couple of weeks. No need for details, suffice to say there’s been no shortage of death, blood and tears. A younger more fragile version of myself would not have stood a chance enduring the tornado of shite with even a fraction of the decorum and will that I’ve had to muster to defeat the Orcs, which have been out in droves this past fortnight. I know we’re all up against them right now, which is why I’m putting this out there. I can honestly say that without the five years of sobriety (to the month), five years of clarity, serenity, and grounding that I have under my belt, I would have been UTTER toast. Sobriety for me was about removing the poison that rendered me incapable of keeping the dark and malicious entities out of my life, so they couldn’t reach me or hurt me anymore. It’s an added bonus that my life has become immeasurably more peaceful, and insurmountably brighter. There are frankly too many pros to even list. But those who know… know… If there was one single gift that I could go back and give a little me that sat on this very bench so many times in so many different incarnations of searching and longing, the first thing I would tell her would be that alcohol and drugs are not the route and while blood may run thicker than water it does not define who your family are. I am not just 5 years sober I am 5 years clearer five 5 brighter five 5 stronger Five 5 wholler (not a word) and 5 years more unfuckable with. (Also not a word) You get the gist Why add insult to an already Injured world? Just some thoughts from chilly me to all of you With love, light and a whole lot of courage 💡

And so the dismantling of a version of myself commenced… After making one phone call and by listening and adhering to an unfamiliar yet all-knowing pull towards a surrendering and letting go of what and who I thought I was, so to make space for who I am and am still in the process of becoming…. I found myself at one of your indescribable gatherings on the outskirts of Buenos Aires. Where man and mammal partner as one. It was the essential brick in a road that has been paramount in paving the path that has finally guided me back home. Thank you @cristobal_scarpati for being there for me as a guide and a brother and @oscar.scarpati as a father, grandfather and a lighthouse for us all. You never stopped believing in me and my vision regardless of the infinite obstacles, but which we now get to finally collaborate on together. Rhona Mitra Instagram - The Irony that out of the 9 dogs currently in our pack which are all rescues and strays of varying breeds and backgrounds unequivocally and undeniably the most sensitive and attentive and easiest to train have been the Thunder Pig Killer Potato’s Auberon and Ludo. AKA the XL Bully ‘Types’ we flew down to our Orphanage of Misfits (sanctuary) here back in January. Those who have been following me know about the UK ban and mass executions so I don’t need to go into details. Suffice to say, having lived with these two lads for four months now if I had my druthers , my absolute number one choice of dog would be a bully ‘type’ (coupled with a Staffordshire Terrier,) every time. They simply are the most wonderful, sensitive, loyal and Funny dogs. It says more about the human who either judges them based on appearance, cultural prejudice (and racism), ignorance and media propaganda, or those who can’t handle them because they can barely wipe their own backsides let alone look after a dog, than the breed themselves. I can hands-down say every second with these boys has been a pure joy. A little bit of work, like raising any child, but pure joy. Testament to the existing pack and a little bit of structure, consistency, safety, no bullshit and guidance from us and we have had zero issues even with the horses and chickens and a new un-neutered Terrier male in the mix… Go figure…. It goes without saying there should be a hefty punishment imposed on anyone dumping and or abusing dogs (of any breed) not to mention backyard breeders. Thank you again @danni.allpaws @uk_dog_protection_team for all you are doing for the dogs back in England. Kennels, crates, vans, vets, planes, trucks… customs.. boarders…And a whole lotta mad love… 36 hours of travel for both the boys and us and all going to plan (now Mercury has gone direct as of today!! ) we should have two little boys safely back to @thelastarkorphanage by midnight tomorrow. Still waiting for wheelsup and have to clear customs and boarders tomorrow but we are finally en route to collecting two very big boys. And the recovery from the crude awakening is the same macro and micro. When we are suffering, we cope by distracting through means of numbing, some of us try and disguise the pain while others become the perpetrators just like our parents or our leaders who raised us into dysfunction and lies. It is a choice which one we become. Red pill /blue pill. The opportunity we all have is to stop energizing the contradiction of who we think we are supposed to be or who they have told us we need to be in order to fit in and survive. Their crime? Looking a certain way. The breed in question is the XL Bully who due to the mismanagement, ignorance and failure of human beings is now being demonized and tarred with a brush resulting in the determination that all that come under a certain (hugely vague) criteria are either to live a life muzzled or put to death. The compensation and incentive by the genius UK government is to offer owners a £200 compensation for murdering their healthy, beloved family members. The utter dystopian insanity of this mandate is not only a pitiful reflection of the desperate shortcomings of our system but the utter spinelessness of the people to allow and even champion this action. It’s no different and completely akin to saying all men with dark skin and curly hair who talk a certain way are terrorists. Therefore must all go. Absolutely no different. It’s Racial Discrimination 101. This only empowers the vile and rampant undertones that are already so rife between humans and humans let alone human and animal in a time where unification and forging solutions is and should be our utmost priority. And yes, there are solutions. There IS another way. The above is a picture taken of me and my boy Orso aboard two long haul flights to South America where I created my sanctuary where I hope to be able to at least save and transport one sweet life. It’s hard to believe that only 7 years ago I was leaving behind a life and system that I had come to realize was nothing but an illusion built on manipulation -Discrimination- polarization- and fear. That their days are done, they are old or broken in some irreparable way from their mostly enslaved lives played out as tools for human gain. The reality is far from that. Django here was a 3 year old Criollo stallion. One of the most pure and perfect examples of vitality and life. He was used for breeding and his previous owner was done with his services so like the 6,000 others a month was being sold for meat thats shipped to France, Belgium and China for human consumption. Seconds before the hammer went down at auction his value was $160 USD. Taking on stallions is no easy feat but we couldn’t leave him behind. He now lives an autonomous life in the wild in the Monte here on the land with the herd and his two daughters Noor and Tormenta. Anyone whos from London will be aware of the familiar scent of burnt rubber from the tracks that has an oddly comforting way of letting you know you are home. The soporific toxic blanket has pushed me into a place of temporary, sedentary introspection. Taking a small beat to stand back from the ever escalating global debacle running amok on the world stage, to acknowledge what has been a motherfucker of a couple of weeks. No need for details, suffice to say there’s been no shortage of death, blood and tears. A younger more fragile version of myself would not have stood a chance enduring the tornado of shite with even a fraction of the decorum and will that I’ve had to muster to defeat the Orcs, which have been out in droves this past fortnight. I know we’re all up against them right now, which is why I’m putting this out there. I can honestly say that without the five years of sobriety (to the month), five years of clarity, serenity, and grounding that I have under my belt, I would have been UTTER toast. Sobriety for me was about removing the poison that rendered me incapable of keeping the dark and malicious entities out of my life, so they couldn’t reach me or hurt me anymore. It’s an added bonus that my life has become immeasurably more peaceful, and insurmountably brighter. There are frankly too many pros to even list. But those who know… know… If there was one single gift that I could go back and give a little me that sat on this very bench so many times in so many different incarnations of searching and longing, the first thing I would tell her would be that alcohol and drugs are not the route and while blood may run thicker than water it does not define who your family are. Caption : Plonked here on a frigid cold bench at Paddington station. February in England is not for pansies. Pausing in between connections. Anyone whos from London will be aware of the familiar scent of burnt rubber from the tracks that has an oddly comforting way of letting you know you are home. The soporific toxic blanket has pushed me into a place of temporary, sedentary introspection. Taking a small beat to stand back from the ever escalating global debacle running amok on the world stage, to acknowledge what has been a motherfucker of a couple of weeks. No need for details, suffice to say there’s been no shortage of death, blood and tears. A younger more fragile version of myself would not have stood a chance enduring the tornado of shite with even a fraction of the decorum and will that I’ve had to muster to defeat the Orcs, which have been out in droves this past fortnight. AKA the XL Bully ‘Types’ we flew down to our Orphanage of Misfits (sanctuary) here back in January. Those who have been following me know about the UK ban and mass executions so I don’t need to go into details. Suffice to say, having lived with these two lads for four months now if I had my druthers , my absolute number one choice of dog would be a bully ‘type’ (coupled with a Staffordshire Terrier,) every time. They simply are the most wonderful, sensitive, loyal and Funny dogs. It says more about the human who either judges them based on appearance, cultural prejudice (and racism), ignorance and media propaganda, or those who can’t handle them because they can barely wipe their own backsides let alone look after a dog, than the breed themselves. I can hands-down say every second with these boys has been a pure joy. A little bit of work, like raising any child, but pure joy. Testament to the existing pack and a little bit of structure, consistency, safety, no bullshit and guidance from us and we have had zero issues even with the horses and chickens and a new un-neutered Terrier male in the mix… Go figure…. It goes without saying there should be a hefty punishment imposed on anyone dumping and or abusing dogs (of any breed) not to mention backyard breeders. AKA the XL Bully ‘Types’ we flew down to our Orphanage of Misfits (sanctuary) here back in January. Those who have been following me know about the UK ban and mass executions so I don’t need to go into details. Suffice to say, having lived with these two lads for four months now if I had my druthers , my absolute number one choice of dog would be a bully ‘type’ (coupled with a Staffordshire Terrier,) every time. They simply are the most wonderful, sensitive, loyal and Funny dogs. It says more about the human who either judges them based on appearance, cultural prejudice (and racism), ignorance and media propaganda, or those who can’t handle them because they can barely wipe their own backsides let alone look after a dog, than the breed themselves. I can hands-down say every second with these boys has been a pure joy. A little bit of work, like raising any child, but pure joy. Testament to the existing pack and a little bit of structure, consistency, safety, no bullshit and guidance from us and we have had zero issues even with the horses and chickens and a new un-neutered Terrier male in the mix… Go figure…. It goes without saying there should be a hefty punishment imposed on anyone dumping and or abusing dogs (of any breed) not to mention backyard breeders. When we are suffering, we cope by distracting through means of numbing, some of us try and disguise the pain while others become the perpetrators just like our parents or our leaders who raised us into dysfunction and lies. The breed in question is the XL Bully who due to the mismanagement, ignorance and failure of human beings is now being demonized and tarred with a brush resulting in the determination that all that come under a certain (hugely vague) criteria are either to live a life muzzled or put to death. The compensation and incentive by the genius UK government is to offer owners a £200 compensation for murdering their healthy, beloved family members. The utter dystopian insanity of this mandate is not only a pitiful reflection of the desperate shortcomings of our system but the utter spinelessness of the people to allow and even champion this action. It’s no different and completely akin to saying all men with dark skin and curly hair who talk a certain way are terrorists. Therefore must all go. Absolutely no different. It’s Racial Discrimination 101. This only empowers the vile and rampant undertones that are already so rife between humans and humans let alone human and animal in a time where unification and forging solutions is and should be our utmost priority. And yes, there are solutions. There IS another way. The above is a picture taken of me and my boy Orso aboard two long haul flights to South America where I created my sanctuary where I hope to be able to at least save and transport one sweet life. It’s hard to believe that only 7 years ago I was leaving behind a life and system that I had come to realize was nothing but an illusion built on manipulation -Discrimination- polarization- and fear. These are the simple and yet highly effective ingredients that enable the governing powers to employ the divisiveness that is causing and will lead to the demise of everything. But the unimaginable suffering we are all seeing and feeling is so very much alive right now. There is no separation between how we treat animals and how we treat each other. Absolutely none. He was used for breeding and his previous owner was done with his services so like the 6,000 others a month was being sold for meat thats shipped to France, Belgium and China for human consumption. Seconds before the hammer went down at auction his value was $160 USD. Taking on stallions is no easy feat but we couldn’t leave him behind. He now lives an autonomous life in the wild in the Monte here on the land with the herd and his two daughters Noor and Tormenta.
