The Labor Government should be trying to stop genocide – not senators speaking out against it. Strength to anyone who has been ostracised for speaking out for Palestine – students, workers, community members, business owners. You are on the right side of history. We will not stop pushing until there’s an end to this horrific invasion and Palestine is free.

Labor have placed zero sanctions on Israel’s Prime Minister or his Government’s for its genocidal assault on Gaza. That’s despite applying thousands of sanctions on other individuals and entities since taking office. Why are there consequences for some, but not for Netanyahu? Countries like the UK, France, Chile, Türkiye – even the United States – have put sanctions in place. Australia should too. There is no excuse.
Labor’s now put stronger sanctions on Fatima Payman than they have on Benjamin Netanyahu and his extremist Government. That’s harsher consequences for a Muslim Senator voting to recognise Palestine than for a regime committing war crimes & genocide in Palestine. Shameful.
Labor haven’t just left renters behind, they’ve left them in the dirt. When you’re led by a property investor Prime Minister and 75% of your MPs are landlords, you can see why. Something has to change and it’s not going to be Labor.

Climate action can’t wait. Last week Labor bowed to their fossil fuel donors and approved a $1 billion dollar gas project that will run until 2080 – well past the 2050 targets. Thats why 12 @risingtide.aus protestors, including Climate Scientist Nick Abel, protested in Parliament today to demand no new coal and gas approvals. Since taking office Labor have given the green light to nine new coal and gas projects. This has to stop. We can’t keep pouring fuel on the fire. Power to all those rising up ✊🏼🌊

When 3 out of 4 Labor MPs are property investors, led by a property investor Prime Minister, you can see why Labor is leaving renters in the dirt.
