– THE @detroitlionsnfl FANS, I wanted to take a minute to thank you for letting me be part of this season.

In 1989 I was drafted by this team and I have been here ever since.

The bond we have is one of the most special outcomes of my football career, but the way in which #LionsNation included me and the other guys from that last NFC Champ game team was really appreciated.

From game #1 you traveled with us and #ROARED in a way no other fanbase ever has.

Since I came to #detroit we play for you. The city has earned this and your loyalty is the fuel in these players’ tanks.

This season was a huge step forward.

The @nfldraft is coming to town, and we will be in training camp soon.

They say it will be harder. They say we will not take anyone by surprise. They say we have a target on our back.

I say we have a front office and team built for that and we will be up to that challenge.

I know what it is like to be pushed off that field so the other team can celebrate. I know our players will carry that as a motivator.
