Bodhi Sabongui Instagram – Thank you @thenewgroupnyc for including me in the staged reading of “Hold Still” by Nadia Davids. It was an honour playing Imran.
“STORYLINE: The year is 2019 in Northeast London. A 17 year old boy (OLIVER) hides his friend (IMRAN), who is evading authorities as he fights to stay in the country. Imran fled his home country when he was 11 years old. After a long, traumatic crossing he was refused full asylum but granted UASC (unaccompanied asylum-seeking child)- aka, temporary leave to remain in the UK. He’s assimilated completely, but at almost seventeen and a half, has grown increasingly troubled, knowing his temporary asylum is about to run out.” | Posted on 02/Jul/2024 04:04:41
